Passengers on selected Air Niugini flights can check in online between 24 hours and 3 hours before the flight departure time. If your flight is from Brisbane, Sydney, Cairns or Narita, you need to check in at the airport counters. Please be at the airport early as check-in counters open 2-3 hours before your flight departure time. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure time for both domestic and international flights.

Seating Plan

Air Niugini offers one or two cabin classes for its flights. Domestic flights and selected flights to Cairns and Brisbane have all-Economy seating. Other international routes on Air Niugini offer Business Class and Economy Class cabins. The Business Class seats are either recliner seats or angle-flat seats with ample legroom, while the Economy Class cabin has standard 17.71” wide seats laid in 3-3 or a 2-3-2 configuration, depending on the aircraft.

Baggage Allowance

The checked baggage allowance for domestic flights is 16 kilograms for Economy Class and 20 kilograms for Business Class. Frequent Flyer Gold and Silver members will get extra checked baggage allowance. For international flights, there are several types of baggage allowances depending on seat class and destination. Passengers will get the following checked baggage allowance: 30 kilograms. for Economy Class passengers, 35 kilograms. for Executive Club members in Economy, 40 kilograms. for Business Class passengers and seamen, and 45 kilograms. for Executive Club members in Business Class. In Flight Services

A complimentary light snack and beverage are served on domestic flights, while full meals are served to passengers on international flights. Special meals may also be arranged before the trip. In-flight entertainment options such as movies, TV shows, and music are only available on long-haul international flights and selected short-haul flights. An onboard duty-free shop can be found on all international flights. Air Niugini's in-flight magazine, Paradise, may be found in the seat pocket on most flights.
