Ways to Check-in

AirAsia offers several check-in methods for the convenience of their passengers, through web and mobile with some restrictions applied. Web check-in does not allow more than fifty passengers in one booking number while mobile check-in has a maximum of 9 passengers. All passengers with confirmed bookings can check-in online from a maximum of 14 days up to an hour before the departure, while passengers on AirAsia X flights can check-in from 14 days up to 4 hours before the departing flight time. Do note that passengers who are pregnant, traveling with infants or passengers with special needs are not allowed to use the web or mobile check-in methods. The usual airport check-in counters will be available from 2 hours up to 45 minutes before flight departure.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Checked baggage is limited to a maximum of 32 kilograms and dimension of 81 centimeters for height by 119 centimeters for width by 119 centimeters for depth. For those traveling without checked baggage, AirAsia allows one piece of cabin baggage with additional one piece for laptops or handbags. The cabin baggage is limited to a maximum weight of 7 kilograms with the dimensions of 56 centimeters for height by 36 centimeters in width by 23 centimeters for depth.

Seating

For passengers flying on A320 and A330 aircraft, all seats are covered with leather. Passengers sitting on premium seats on these aircraft can enjoy some extra legroom. Flights on A330 aircraft have a Quiet Zone from rows 7 to 14 with an assurance of minimal noise and ambiance lighting. Meanwhile, AirAsia X flights offer business class seating where each seat boasts of a Premium FlatBed with adjustable head and foot rests and a personalized reading light.

In-flight Services

Passengers on AirAsia flights that are less than 75 minutes can enjoy a selection of snacks during the flight. Meanwhile, passengers on flights that can take more than 75 minutes will enjoy hot meals created specifically to cater to the tastes of Asian and international guests. It is recommended to pre-book meals to enjoy some savings. Passengers can pre-purchase meals at least 24 hours before flight departure.
