Ways to Check-in

All passengers with confirmed bookings can check in as early as 48 hours up to 40 minutes before departure time. For flights departing the Philippines, Singapore Airlines' check-in counters are located in Terminal 3 of the Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport. Special assistance counters for families with small children, expectant mothers, minors traveling along and those with special needs, may also be available depending on the airport.


Passengers may also check-in online through desktop or mobile. Web check-in is available from 48 hours up to 2 hours before departure time. Depending on your departure city, passengers who have checked in online can print their boarding pass or download to their mobile device before proceeding to the airport. If traveling without baggage and if travel documents and credit card verification is not required, passengers can proceed straight to immigration counters.


Singapore Airlines also provides check-in kiosks at selected airports – Singapore Changi Airport, Amsterdam Schiphol, Copenhagen Airport, London Heathrow, and Tokyo Narita Airport. Do note that checking in using these kiosks are not available to passengers without confirmed bookings, minors traveling alone, those in need of special assistance and passengers that do not have machine-readable passports or visas.


Baggage Allowances and Fees

All Singapore Airlines passengers are allowed to carry cabin baggage onboard. Economy class passengers can carry one bag while economy and first class passengers can carry up to two bags. Whatever your travel class, each bag should not weigh more than 7 kilograms or exceed 115 centimeters in size (sum of length, width, and height). Passengers may also carry one additional item other than the cabin baggage including but not limited to ladies' handbag, camera bag, and laptop/notebook bag.


Meanwhile, checked baggage allowance will vary depending on your destination. For flights to the United States, Canada or Brazil, baggage allowance is calculated by piece. Economy and premium economy class passengers are allowed to check-in 2 pieces up to 23 kilograms each if your destination is the United States or Canada and up to 32 kilograms each if going to Brazil. Meanwhile, business and first class passengers can check-in 2 pieces up to 32 kilograms each.


For flights to all other destinations, free baggage allowance is calculated by total weight across all pieces of baggage. Economy class passengers can check-in baggage up to 30 kilograms, premium economy class passengers up to 35 kilograms, business class passengers up to 40 kilograms and first class passengers up to 50 kilograms.

Booking with Singapore Airlines gives you an option to purchase flights across 5 different travel class – economy, premium economy, business, first class and suites. Availability of these travel classes will depend on the flight and aircraft.


Economy class seats have a 32 to 34-degree seat pitch and 17.5 to 19-inch seat width. Each standard seat comes with on-demand TV monitor, AC power and in selected aircraft, laptop power.


Premium economy class seats have a 38-degree seat pitch and 19 to 19.5-inch seat width. Each seat also comes with on-demand TV monitor, laptop, and AC power.


Business class seats have a 51 to 76-degree seat pitch and 20 to 34-inch seat pitch. Depending on the aircraft, business seats can vary from angle lie flat beds, recliner, and fully flat beds. All seats come with on-demand TV monitor, laptop, and AC power.


First class seats and suites have a 60 to 81-degree seat pitch and 21 to 35-inch seat width. All seats and suites come with on-demand TV monitors, laptop, and AC power. Depending on the aircraft, seats can either be full flat beds, open suites or closed suites.
