Checking In

China Airlines offers a convenient eCheck-In service for all internationals passengers except those on codeshare flights. You can do this via the CA website 24 hours before the flight. There is also an In-Town Check-in service at the self-service kiosk at Taipei Main Station. Alternatively, you can do the check-in at the airport counters. It is always recommended to be at the airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight departure time.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

There is complimentary baggage allowance for passengers which varies depending on travel class. All economy passengers on China Airlines get a 30 kilograms’ allowance. Premium Economy passengers get a free baggage allowance of 35 kilograms, and Business Class passengers are allowed to check-in baggage with a total combined weight of 40 kilograms. Flights to the Americas, Canada, and US territories are entitled to more baggage allowance. All travel classes will also get a 7 kilograms’ carry-on baggage allowance.

Seating

Flights on China Airlines offer Premium Business Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy. Premium Business Class is available on all long-haul flights. Seats in Premium Business Class can lie flat and comes with a side table and touchscreen TV. Business Class also features flat-bed seats or recliners, depending on the aircraft. The Premium Economy seats have footrests and leg-rest, while Economy Class will have standard seats.

China Airlines offers Western and Oriental menu selections on intercontinental flights. These would vary depending on cabin class, destination and flight length.
