The Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport is Vietnam's biggest international airport in terms of area. It is a public airport owned by the Vietnamese government, and is operated by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam. It is the largest airport of Vietnam in terms of passengers handled and served, surpassing the capital's Hanoi – Noi Bai Airport by some 3 million more. (Ho Chi Minh's airport handled some 22 million passengers in 2014, while Hanoi's Airport settled for 19 million).
The Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport serves Ho Chi Minh City, one of the primary cities of the country. It is located in the Tan Binh District, in the southern region of Vietnam that is formerly known as Saigon. The airport has two terminals, with one being the older and the original one and the other being the newer international terminal. Facilities for the said airport include two concrete runways measuring 10,007 feet and 12,467 feet respectively. Apart from the scheduled and charter commercial services, the airport also handles airfreight and cargo services.
Where to go
Hanoi – Hanoi is the capital and the largest city of Vietnam, home to some 2.6 million residents that expands to 6.5 million when the metropolitan jurisdiction is included. From the year 1010 towards 1802, it was the most important political center of Vietnam; briefly the power was transferred to other capitals, until the power was given back to the city sometime after the reunification of Vietnam. The city is located on the right bank of the Red River – a characteristic (being near water) shared by most Asian cities. Apart from being the major gateway to Vietnam and being the country's political, cultural, financial, and commercial capital, Hanoi is also one of the emerging tourism destinations in the country. Coming a close second to Ho Chi Minh, which is previously known as Saigon, Hanoi projects itself as a charming capital, a well-preserved center filled with remnants of the country's past. When in Hanoi, visit the Old Quarter of the City, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the Temple of Literature and the National University of Hanoi, the Hoa Lo Prison, and many others. Do a tour across the Red River too, and try the Vietnamese delicacies along the streets.
Hue – bundled around the Perfume River, Hue is the capital of the Thua Thien-Hue Province in Vietnam, known as the imperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty and historically an ancient capital of Vietnam. Today, it stands as one of the cultural centers in the country, with countless destinations to go to and UNESCO Heritage sites to visit. When in Hue, never miss out on the Hue Monuments Complex, the Imperial City, and the Demilitarized Zone. Other areas include the Rockpile, the Khe Sanh Combat Base, and the Vinh Moc tunnels, which gives tourists a glimpse of Vietnam's war history.

Whichever destination the traveler may choose, the Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport will help them reach it with ease.
