Baggage Allowances and Fees

Air Canada offers complimentary checked baggage allowances and carry-on baggage allowances to all its passengers. For carry-on baggage, each passenger is allowed to bring one standard cabin luggage not exceeding 10 kilograms and one bag containing personal items on board. Passengers can also carry a coat, small purse, special need or infant care item, including a small foldable stroller. The checked baggage allowance varies depending on your fare, destination, date of ticket purchase and frequent flyer status.

Seating

Air Canada offers four types of seats. Availability of the different types of seats depending on the destination and flight length. These are called International Business Class, North America Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class. Seats are equipped with personal seat back entertainment screens and power outlets. The Business Class cabins also have seats that convert into fully lie-flat beds.

Checking In

Air Canada offers a range of options for check-in services for its passengers. Passengers can do web check-in or mobile check-in, use the self-service kiosks at the airport. The traditional ticket counter check-in service is also possible, but do allow for at least 2 hours to 3 hours before your flight for the check-in process especially during peak travel periods. Do note that not all options may be available and services may vary depending on the departure airport and the flight destination.

Food & Beverage

Air Canada provides In-flight meals and beverage service depending on the flight length. Snacks will be served on flights from 90 minutes to 2 hours, while a selection of hot meals is offered for flights of 2 hours or more. Special meals for passengers with religious or dietary requirements may also be requested before the flight.

Entertainment Option

All Air Canada passengers will enjoy in-flight entertainment system on the seat-back screens. There is a broad range of entertainment options such as movies, television shows, kids TV, music, interactive games, audio books, and podcasts.
