Iloilo International Airport, more popularly known as Iloilo Airport, is located in Cabatuan province in Iloilo, Philippines. This airport is also known as Cabatuan Airport due to its location as well as Santa Barbara Airport for the nearby province of Santa Barbara, Iloilo. It is the fourth busiest airport in the Philippines and relatively new. It was officially opened back in 2007 replacing the old Iloilo Airport that was located in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. The new Iloilo International Airport inherited the old airport’s IATA and ICAO airport codes and continues to serve the province of Iloilo which is the regional center of Western Visayas.
The Iloilo Airport serves both domestic and international travel. Domestic routes to and from Manila are operated by Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines through PAL Express and Tigerair Philippines. Cebu Pacific also offers domestic routes to and from Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, General Santos and Puerto Princesa. Meanwhile, international routes are also operated by Cebu Pacific to and from Hong Kong and Singapore
