Why Fly with LAN Peru

How to Check In

Aside from the traditional airport check-in, LAN Peru passengers have the convenience of the airline’s Online Check-In option. This feature is applicable between 48 and two hours before the scheduled time of departure. Online Check-In helps passengers save time, select their preferred seat, and print their boarding pass. Requirements include the reservation code, the last name of the passenger, and an identification document such as passport. Group Check-In is also available for more than 10 passengers traveling under the same reservation code. However, travelers who have special needs; those who are traveling with pets and other animals; and those traveling with more babies than adults under the same reservation, are required to complete check-in at the airport.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Each LAN Peru passenger is allowed to bring onboard one piece of hand luggage and a personal item, provided that space is available in the cabin. Otherwise, the baggage will be carried in the hold. Economy passengers are allowed 8kg (17lbs) of carry-on baggage, with dimensions of 55cm x 35cm x 25cm, while Premium Economy - Premium Business passengers are allowed 16kg (35lbs) of carry-on baggage with the same dimensions. All types of passengers are also allowed one personal item (purse, laptop, or diaper bag), with dimensions of 20cm x 45cm x 35cm. Additionally, items like jackets, walking sticks, umbrellas, small cameras, binoculars, reading materials, or a small bag of duty free may also be brought in the cabin, provided that they are stowed under the seat in front of the passenger, except for the emergency exit seats and first row seats. For the free checked baggage, standard volume allowed is 158cm or 62 inches linear (width + height+ length), and standard weight allowed is 23kg or 50lbs. If the standard weight or number of luggage pieces is exceeded, excess luggage charges will apply.

Inflight Entertainment

LAN Peru offers a wide range of entertainment options depending on the duration of the flight. Flights on Boeing 787 or Boeing 767 aircraft feature an individual screen per seat, with more than a thousand entertainment options – over a hundred movies (blockbusters, Latin American movies, classic films) and complete seasons of TV series, as well as 45 different programs of different genres.
