Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers on all cabin classes are allowed to have one carry-on bag and one personal item with a total combined weight limit of 23 kilograms and dimensions no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. The maximum size of the personal handbag/laptop bag is 40cm x 30cm x 15cm. Checked baggage allowances depend on the cabin class and flight length. The First Class allowance is three bags with a maximum weight of 32 kilograms per piece. Business class and Premium Economy are allowed free checked in baggage of 2 bags with a maximum weight of 32 kilograms per piece. Economy Class for long-haul flights will have an allowance of 2 bags of 32 kilograms, while Economy passengers on short haul flights can check-in one bag at 23 kilograms for free.

Check In

British Airways offers several convenient ways to check-in for your flight. Online check-in via the web, mobile or the British Airways app opens 24 hours before flight departure. After checking in online, you can just deposit your bags at the airport's Bag Drop Desk. If you are checking in at the airport, do note that check-in counters open 3 hours before flight departure and close 60 minutes before the flight departs. Remember to have your boarding pass, identification and other travel documents on hand.

Seating

Cabin classes on British Airways vary according to flight length. The economy class on short haul flights is called Euro Traveller, while for medium haul flights it is called World Traveller. Short haul business class is called Club Europe. Club World class is the business class for medium to long haul flights. First class seats are offered on the Boeing aircraft for long haul flights. These are private cabins with a bed, entertainment screen, and in-seat power. Club World seats are also equipped with personal TV screens. Business class on Long haul flights also feature fully flat beds. World Traveller Plus is the premium economy category provided on all long-haul aircraft. The seats are wide, and the legroom is generous. World Traveller is the long-haul economy class offered on international flights to destinations outside Europe.

Food & Beverage Options

All flights from London to destinations within Europe have a Buy on Board system for food and drinks for Economy Class passengers. Flights to international destinations outside Europe and all Business and First Class flights will have complimentary meals and drinks. Special meals such as vegetarian, kosher, Muslim, and children meals are available. Do note, however, that kosher and Muslim meals must be ordered 48 hours in advance while other special meals require at least 24 hours in advance.

Entertainment Options

British Airway's in-flight entertainment service, High Life, is available on selected medium to long haul flights. It offers a wide variety of offers movies, TV box sets, children's shows, and games. Shopping on board and in-flight magazines are also available. Wi-fi connectivity on board is available to Club World passengers on selected flights.
