Shenzhen Airlines is a domestic and an international airline headquartered at the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and is majorly owned by Air China. With a fleet of over 10 narrow-body aircraft, Shenzhen Airlines is the fourth largest domestic carrier in China, with around 7% share in seat capacity and flights. It operates in 137 domestic-airport pairs involving 58 Chinese Airports, plus nine international routes. In 2010, the airline carried at least 165 million passengers. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance (from 2012), and has code-share agreements with Singapore Airlines, WVA Air, SilkAir, Dragonair, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, and Air China.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Shenzhen Airlines provides its passengers with generous amounts of free checked-in baggage and hand baggage, subject to the set rules and regulations of the airline and depending on the seating class or ticket class. First-class passengers are allowed to bring 40 kilograms free as checked baggage, and are also allowed to carry a maximum of two (2) pieces of hand baggage with each not exceeding 5 kilograms. Meanwhile, business-class passengers are allowed to bring 30 kilograms free as checked baggage, and are allowed to bring one (1) piece of hand baggage, not exceeding 5 kilograms. Finally, economy-class passengers are also allowed to bring one piece of hand baggage weighing 5 kilograms, and are provided with a 20-kilogram free of charge checked baggage allowance. Travelers who are Star Alliance Gold members are also provided with one (1) free additional hand baggage and an additional 20 kilograms as checked baggage. All pieces of baggage, may it be checked-in or carried by hand, are subject to airline security checks and can be refused for boarding and checking in, if these do not follow the standard dimensions and weight limits as set by the airline. Anything in excess will be charged accordingly.

Seating

Shenzhen Airlines have three seat class options for all its passengers. First one is called First Class seats, the second one is called Business Class seats, and the last one is identified as Economy Class seats. While there are discrepancies in the baggage allowance, fees, and other services for each seat class, Shenzhen Airlines promises all its passengers that they would be treated with utmost hospitality once on board.
