SpiceJet Cheap Flights & Promo Fares

SpiceJet is India’s fourth largest airline by domestic passenger share, operating more than 270 daily flights to 41 destinations. The airline was established in 2004, following the low-cost model – leasing 3 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Their first flight was flagged off by then Union Minister of Civil Aviation Praful Patel, flying off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai in May of 2005. Three years later, it was recognized as India’s second-largest low-cost carrier in terms of market share, and has since been that until today. Currently, the airline’s continuing vision is to deliver low airfares with the highest consumer value, providing its consumers with a convenient power to fly.

Why Fly with SpiceJet

How to Check-in

SpiceJet provides its passengers convenience by setting up a web check-in service available through their website. While it is not allowed for certain cases, majority of SpiceJet’s passengers may use the said service subject to the rules and restrictions set by the airline. Further, physical check-in counters are always available through any of the airports served by the airline. Travelers are advised to arrive at their respective airports of departure at least two hours before the flight for domestic flights, and three to four hours before the flight for international flights.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Domestic Baggage allowance – SpiceJet provides its passengers generous amounts of free baggage allowance. For cabin baggage, domestic passengers are allowed to bring a maximum of 7 kilograms, having maximum overall dimensions of 115 centimeters on Boeing aircraft and 108 centimeters on Bombardier flights, in addition to a regular-sized shoulder laptop bag or ladies handbag. Passengers with infants are also allowed to bring 7 kilograms of additional hand baggage not exceeding the above-mentioned size dimensions as part of the infant’s baggage and needs. Meanwhile, a 15-kilogram checked baggage allowance is also provided for all domestic passengers. Anything in excess of these allowances is subject to fees and other payments. All bags are to be checked by the airport security. International Baggage allowance – Like domestic passengers, international flight passengers are also provided with free baggage allowances subject to the rules and regulations of the airline. All international passengers are allowed to bring a maximum of 7 kilograms as their hand baggage, having the maximum overall dimensions of 115 centimeters for Boeing flights and 108 centimeters for Bombardier flights. In addition to the hand baggage, a regular-sized laptop bag or a ladies handbag is also allowed for each passenger. Passengers with infants are also allowed to carry an additional piece of hand baggage not exceeding 7 kilograms and the set dimensions as mentioned above. Further, SpiceJet also provides free checked baggage depending on the route. All travelers flying to Bangkok, Kathmandu, and Male, are allowed to bring 20 kilograms of checked baggage, while passengers going to Muscat, Colombo, Dubai, and Kabul are allowed to bring 30 kilograms of checked baggage. Anything in excess will be charged accordingly.
