Druk Air, also known as Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines, is the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bhutan. The state-owned airline operates from its base at Paro Airport. Druk Air flies to 12 destinations in six countries in South Asia. These include flights to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Singapore, and Thailand. Druk Air also operates domestic flights within Bhutan. Why Fly with Druk Air

Checking In

There is no online check-in service available for Druk Air flights. All passengers must check in at the airport. It is recommended to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight avoid the lines and to get a seat with a good view of Mt. Everest. Due to the airport's geographical location in Bhutan, there is also a possibility of flight delays or cancellations, so it is best to be at the airport early to check on schedule timings. All counters will close 30 minutes before scheduled departure of the flight, except for the check-in counters in Delhi will close one hour before scheduled flight departure.

Seating Plan

The airline has a small fleet has four Airbus A319-100 with a two-cabin configuration and one ATR 42-500 aircraft with an all-Economy Class configuration. The A319 cabins feature leather seats with a 32" seat pitch in Economy Class and a 35" seat pitch in Business Class. The ATR is a small, modern turboprop aircraft which seats 48 passengers in a single cabin.

Baggage Guide

The complimentary baggage allowances on Druk Air flights are 40kg for Business Class and 30kg for Economy Class. Please note that the baggage weight allowance is combined for both cabin and checked baggage. Cabin baggage is limited to 5kg with overall dimensions of 100cm. Infants paying only 10% of the fare are not entitled to any free baggage allowance.

In Flight Service

F&B: Drukair's in-flight meals are complimentary and will vary according to the type of cabin class. The meals are Bhutanese and Indian cuisine with vegetarian options. Non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and meals will be served to Economy Class passengers. Business Class will have more options and also alcoholic beverages.

Entertainment: Duty-free shopping is available onboard Druk Air's international flights but is no audio/video entertainment on all their flights. There are only some piped-in music and their in-flight magazine, Tashi Delek. The unforgettable views of the Himalayas, however, more than makeup for the limited in-flight entertainment.
