Officially known as the Kingdom of Denmark, Denmark is a country in Scandinavia and is located in Northern Europe. Rosenborg Castle – Located in Copenhagen, Rosenborg Castle is a Dutch renaissance castle originally built as a summerhouse in the country used by Danish regents as a royal residence until 1710. The statue is based on the fairytale named the Little Mermaid written by the famous Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen. It is now considered as a Copenhagen icon and continues to be a major tourist attraction.
