The Republic of South Africa, commonly known as simply South Africa, is a country situated at the southern tip of Africa. Kruger National Park - Kruger National Park encompasses a vast area of 19,485 km2, making it one of the largest game reserves in the continent. The national park is situated in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, spanning 360 km from north to south and 65 km from east to west. There are nine different trails on the park, some of which require overnight stay. Animals present in the park include 517 species of birds, 147 species of mammals (including all of the Big Five game animals), 114 species of reptiles, 33 species of amphibians, and 50 species of fish. Kruger National Park was established on 31 May 1926.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden - Nestled at the eastern foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town is the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. It covers an area of 528 hectares and is operated by the South African National Biodiversity Institute. The garden features the Botanical Society Conservatory, which exhibits plants from several different regions.

Gold Reef City - Gold Reef City is an amusement park situated on an old gold mine (which closed in 1971) in Johannesburg. The park adapted a gold-rush theme; the structures in the park were designed to mimic those in the 1880s, and the staff wore costumes from that time period. Aside from the water rides, rollercoasters, and shows, Gold Reef City has a museum dedicated to gold mining.
