The Republic of India is the largest country in the Indian subcontinent in South Asia. It encompasses a total area of 3,287,590 km2, ranking as the seventh-largest country in the world by area. Gateway of India - The Gateway of India is a monument in Mumbai City of Maharashtra state in Western India. The large monument was built in Indo-Saracenic style during the British Raj: construction began on 31 March 1911, and was completed in 1924. It was established to commemorate the landing of their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder, when they visited the country on the same year the foundation stone for the monument was laid.

Taj Mahal - One of the best-known landmarks of India is the Taj Mahal, the white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of Yamuna River in the city of Agra. The structure was commissioned in 1632 by the fifth Mughal emperor of India, Shahabuddin Muhammad Shah Jahan (1594 - 1666), who reigned from 1628 to 1658. The purpose of the mausoleum was to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Aside from being celebrated as one of the sweetest gestures of a husband to his wife, the Taj Mahal is also recognized by many as the best example of Mughal architecture. It is often referred to as "the jewel of Muslim art in India."

Kaziranga National Park - Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and national park located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the Indian state of Assam. The national park is best known for being home to two-thirds of the world's remaining great one-horned rhinoceroses. It also hosts the highest density of tigers among protected areas all over the world. In 2006, Kaziranga National Park was declared a Tiger Reserve.

It's easy to get to many parts of Asia via air passenger service from India. One of the most visited tourist destinations is Singapore, as it offers plenty of commercial attractions. Kuala Lumpur also has quite a few, with the top attractions including the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, and the Petronas Twin Towers, which dominates the city's modern skyline.
