KLM Cityhopper offers convenient online check-in services to help passengers save time and avoid the hassles at the airport queues. You can choose your seat, select meal options and print your boarding pass from your computer in your home or office. You can also check-in using your mobile phone. Please note that there are conditions for web or mobile check-in. If you are unable to check in online, you can check in at the self-service kiosks or the KLM Cityhopper counters at the airport. Passengers traveling in Business Class, or as a Flying Blue Gold and Platinum or SkyTeam Elite Plus member flying in Economy Class can also avail of the dedicated check-in area at selected airports.


KLM Cityhopper offers a two-class cabin service on all of its scheduled routes: Europe Business Class and Economy Class. Economy Class is also further divided into Economy Comfort and Economy Class. The Europe Business Class seats are at the first couple of rows, with the middle seat blocked off. Economy Comfort seats, marketed as Extra Space offer Economy Class passengers additional leg room and are located behind the Europe Business Class seats.

Baggage Allowance

Since 2013, KLM had stopped giving complimentary checked baggage allowance for Economy Class or Economy Comfort passengers on all its European flights, including flights with KLM Cityhopper. Business Class passengers or Elite tier members of Flying Blue will still get their complimentary baggage allowance of 2 check-in baggage weighing a maximum 32 kilograms each. Checked baggage fee will also not be charged if the KLM Cityhopper flight is part of a longer intercontinental trip. Cabin baggage allowance is free up to a maximum of 12 kilograms for Economy passengers, and 18 kilograms for Business class passengers.

In Flight Services

F&B: KLM Cityhopper serves complimentary drinks and refreshments on all scheduled flights. The menu varies according to the seating class, flight schedule and flight duration. Business class passengers may have continental breakfast, sandwiches, and salads together with a bar service. Economy passengers are offered sandwiches or light sack with a drink.

Entertainment: There is no audio-video entertainment or duty-free shopping on these short haul flights. Holland Herald, the airline’s in-flight magazine can be found in the seat pockets, and a selection of newspapers are also available.
