Plaza Mayor – Also known as the Plaza de Armas of Lima, Plaza Mayor is considered as the birthplace of the city of Lima. It is also the core of the city. Located right in the Historic Center of Lima, it is surrounded by other popular tourist spots such as Cathedral of Lima, the Palace of the Union, the Archbishop’s Palace of Lima, the Municipal of Lima and the Government Palace.

Saksaywaman – Also referred to as Saksaq Waman, the Saksaywaman is a citadel located in the northern outskirts of Cusco in Peru. It is considered to be the historic capital of the Inca Empire. The Saksaywaman is a fortified complex located on a steep hill that overlooks the city. It has a wonderful southeast view of the valley. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the location of the annual Inca festival of the Winter Solstice and New Year, the Inti Raymi, every 24th of June. The Warachikuy festival is also celebrated here every third Sunday of September. Locals also use the Saksaywaman’s large field within the complex walls for jogging, tai chi and other activities.
