It has more than 100 fern species and 160 tree species and because of these, countless species of butterflies as well as birds flock the place.

·         Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Located at the mountains of Virunga, in the southwest region of Uganda, it is a national park that is dedicated for gorillas, but aside from the mentioned ape specie, giant forest hogs, leopards, buffalos, bushbucks, and golden monkeys also roam the place.
