Founded in 1993, Norwegian has multiple hubs, and the largest base is at Oslo Airport Gardermoen. The airline operates numerous domestic flights within Scandinavia and international flights to cities in five continents. Norwegian currently flies to 125 destinations across 35 countries. Its frequent flyer program is called Norwegian Reward.

Online check-in is recommended for passengers on Norwegian flights. The process is easy, and you can choose from three options. You can either use the Travel Assistant app, go to the airline website, or click the link in the SMS ticket sent to your phone on your departure date. You can have a printed boarding pass by using the airport kiosk or by checking in at the counter. Unassisted minors, travelers with special needs, those traveling with pets and bulky items need to check in personally at the airport counters. If you are traveling in a rush or traveling light within the Nordic, you can also avail of the Fast Track and Direct to Gate check-in options.

Seating Plan

This low-cost airline operates aircraft with an all-Economy Class seating. On aircraft for long-haul flights, there are Premium Economy and Economy cabin. The Premium Economy cabin has 19" wide recliner seats, while the Economy seats are narrower at 17.2". There is a USB connector at the touch screen of each seat where you can charge your tablet or laptop.

Baggage Allowance

The ticket type will determine the baggage allowance. Low Fare tickets only allow for carry-on luggage at 10 kilograms. Low Fare+ will have free one carry-on baggage allowance at 10 kilograms, and one 20 kilograms checked baggage. Flex Fare ticket holders will get a 15 kilograms. carry-on baggage allowance, and two checked bags at 20 kilograms. each. A Premium ticket entitles the passenger to one 10 kilograms’ carry-on luggage, and two checked bags at 20 kilograms each, while Premium Flex will have the same checked baggage allowance but a 15 kilograms. carry-on bag.

In Flight Services

F&B: A meal from the Economy menu is included for Low Fare+ and Flex tickets. Premium and Premium Flex passengers will get a meal from the Premium menu. Low Fare passengers can order from the Economy menu for a fee on a pre-order basis. A snack bar is also available onboard. Snacks and drinks can be ordered directly from the in-seat touch screen.

Entertainment: All seats feature a touch-screen interactive TV screen where passengers can access a broad array of in-flight entertainment options. There is Live TV, Video on Demand, games, and an interactive 3D map. Free WiFi is also available on most European flights. The in-flight magazine, Norwegian Magazine can be found in the seat pockets.
