Olympic Air Cheap Flights & Promo Fares on Skyscanner Philippines

Olympic Air, formerly known as Olympic Airlines, is a subsidiary of Aegean Airlines operating short-haul flights in the Greek islands. The airline used to have many international destinations, but these flights ceased operations when Olympic Air was bought by Aegean Airlines in late 2013. Aegean operates short and medium-haul international routes, while Olympic Air serves 33 domestic destinations with regularly scheduled flights and seasonal flights. The airline operates from its largest base at Athens International Airport. It also has smaller bases at Thessaloniki International Airport Macedonia and Rhodes International Airport.

Following the merger, Olympic Air became an affiliate of Star Alliance. Travelair Club, the frequent flyer program of Olympic Air, was also absorbed into Aegean Airlines’ frequent flyer program Miles+ Bonus in 2015.

Why Fly Olympic Air?

Check In Guide

Travelers flying with Olympic Air can choose from several options to check-in for their flight. Online check-in is available using the computer or mobile phone. You can do online check-in starting from 48 hours up to 30 minutes before the departure of your flight. There are also self-service kiosks at selected airports. After checking-in and printing their boarding pass, passengers only need to drop off their luggage before proceeding to the boarding gates. Instead of printing a boarding pass at home, you can also check with the airlines' website to see which airports accept mobile boarding passes. For those who will be checking in at the airport, it is essential to allow for enough time for checking in, especially during peak travel seasons. There are also dedicated check-in counters for Business class passengers and Gold Miles+Bonus members.

Seats

Olympic Air operates a small fleet of turbo-propeller aircraft. It has Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft and ATR 42 aircraft. These have all-Economy Class seats in a 2-2 arrangement. The seats are standard leather seats with a width of 17” and a seat pitch of 30”.

Baggage Allowance

Olympic Air passengers may carry on board, free of charge, one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 8 kilograms. The bag must be able to fit underneath the seat of in the overhead storage bin. In addition to the carry-on baggage, one personal item such as women's handbag or laptop bag is allowed provided it can also fit under the seat. Those traveling on Go Light Economy fares do not have a complimentary checked in baggage allowance unless they are Miles+Bonus Gold members in which they are allowed to check-in one piece of baggage up to 23 kilograms. Flex Economy fare passengers are given a 23 kilograms checked baggage allowance plus one extra piece of 23 kilograms if they are Miles+Bonus Gold members. Passengers may also purchase additional baggage allowance before the flight, up to 2 hours before departure. It is recommended to pre-purchase baggage allowance through the website or call center as it is much cheaper than buying it at the airport counters.
