Unique Experience!!!
A unique experience, the capsule room is something you can not miss and on the best beach in Tulum!!! The best thing is that after 5 pm, as most people go from the nearby beach club, the beach is practically private and very enjoyable!!!

What Happens When the Bubble Deflates?
This place has all the ingredients to be amazing. The accommodation is unique, the surroundings are beautiful, and when we arrived we genuinely felt we'd found a hidden gem and excellent value for money. Unfortunately, our experience changed dramatically on the first night. At around 1:00 a.m., the generator failed and our bubble completely collapsed. Because the resort relies on generator power, there appeared to be no backup system in place. This wasn't just an inconvenience. We woke up to the structure deflating around us. Other guests were panicking and running around looking for help. For anyone who is a heavy sleeper or taking sleep medication, having an enclosed inflatable structure collapse around them could create a genuine safety risk. What was most frustrating was that nobody could be reached. We repeatedly called and messaged the only contact number we had, but received no response. For nearly two hours we tried to find help, even approaching neighbouring properties, before the power was finally restored at around 3:00 a.m. The following morning we received an apology, which we appreciated. What disappointed us was the attitude that followed when we explained our concerns. We were told that generators fail and that these things happen in the jungle. While that's true, it's also why contingency plans and emergency support are so important. To be clear, the generator failing is not the reason for this review. Things go wrong. Had the resort fully acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, shown a little more empathy, and offered compensation that was genuinely useful for guests who had already booked onward travel, we would probably be writing a very different review. In fact, we'd likely be praising how well they handled an unfortunate situation. Instead, we were left with the impression that, because the generator had eventually been repaired, the matter was considered closed. The response we received felt dismissive and, at times, outright arrogant. Rather than acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, the focus seemed to be on the fact that the power had been restored, as though that alone resolved the issue. It showed little empathy and very little understanding of what guests had experienced that night. It's a real shame because the accommodation itself is fantastic. With better contingency planning and a more guest-focused response when things go wrong, this could easily be a five-star experience.

Beautiful bubble
Love this place, love the transparent bubble. Amazing impression like the bed was in the middle of the jungle. Definitely would be happy to come back!

A unique beach glamping experience
Great glamping experience overall. Armando and Nacho were always helpful when needed. Armando arranged a sunset catamaran cruise for us and answered questions all week in English and Spanish (so we could practice).
Our bubble was clean, air conditioned, close to the beach, and wonderful for looking up at the sky day or night. We had running hot & cold water, flush toilet, and a mini fridge. There was no microwave or coffee maker, but we knew this before arriving so we brought our own Keurig and pods. Opening times for, and availability of, coffee nearby were hit & miss from what we found so be forewarned.
We had a complimentary rechargeable flashlight, battery powered lantern, and telescope in our bubble along with two bottles of filtered water which would be refilled each day if we drank them. Cozy is the best way to describe the bathroom. There is no door, only a walk-around wall which has a mirror above the sink and small countertop on one side, and the shower and toilet on the other.
Standing inside the shower I measured 29" width and depth, which felt smaller than an old-school phone booth. As proof, the showers have custom doors which slide to/from one corner, since there's not enough room for a swinging shower door out of or into the shower on any side. Size notwithstanding, there were two shower heads - one fixed about 6'9" high and the other on a flexible hose with an adjustable holder that could be set from about 4' to 6' high. Our bottles of shampoo and soap were refilled every day by room service.
No matter how skinny you are, your butt cheek will be up against the exterior of the glass shower wall whilst sitting upon the throne to do your business. To that end, since there's no bathroom door I suggest air freshening spray. As an alternative, and what I did to maintain domestic harmony, was to put my liquids in the bubble's toilet and my solids in the public toilet stalls for the bar between our bubble and the beach - within 25 yards of our door. It was the beach equivalent of me going to the lobby restroom in a brick & mortar hotel for the same reason. Do not put toilet paper in any toilet, especially the bubble's. Due to its rather remote location, I don't think a plumber's response to a clogged toilet would be quick.
We could hear music and people's voices from the bar of an adjoining property, but never past about 9PM. Overnights were very quiet. Almost every morning, we noticed a commercial truck with potable water, propane, or septic pumping services doing what they do at Astral.
Out the airlock door of our bubble, named Aquarius, it was a 50 yard walk to the beach. We could turn left or right and find restaurant options in both directions with an easy walk of just a few minutes. We rented a car for our stay in Tulum, and parking at Astral was private and gated. During the day and evenings we had to leave our key with the front desk so the car could be jockeyed around other cars when necessary, but that was never an issue for us. The site is located inside Jaguar National Park along the beach. We found several of the nearby restaurants closed by 6PM. This isn't Europe, so if you plan to eat late make sure the place you're going will be open.
Gaining entrance to the park during daytime hours, especially noon to 5PM, was the only difficult part of our stay and not the fault of Astral at all. The park had only one entrance when we were there in January, 2025 - from the south - on a paved road with one narrow lane in each direction. During our longest wait, we sat for 1 hour and 20 minutes in line with other cars just to get in to the park, which was the only way to access our room. If you plan to scuba dive or sightsee in the mornings and rest in the afternoon, you might look elsewhere. There is no way to access Astral during mid-day without waiting in line to get in the park. If you'll be out all day then the daily park entrance traffic jam won't affect you at all. There is no entrance fee after 5pm when the park ticket counter closes.

Very poor value for money. More expensive than an all inclusive and without any service.
First of all I go to the positive: The attention and cordiality of Armando always ready to attend you and solve the inconveniences that are happening.
The place is also a valuable point next to the experience that sleep in the bubble brings.
Now the negative:
1.- In my case I stayed in the cabin Aries, the closest to the generator that works 24/7 and the noise can not be attenuated or using headphones.
2.- In the dawn light one wakes up 7:30 am and pretends to have breakfast or at least a coffee. Further than because of the high cost of accommodation (more expensive than the all inclusive RIU of Playa del Carmen) you should have included a breakfast, but it is not even possible to have breakfast paying, because the lousy beach club Marino, opens only from 10:00 .
3.- At the very least I suggest that you place coffee machines in the bubbles and the necessary elements for a breakfast. Express, a couple of fruits, etc.
4.- Another suggestion is that the beds have a sliding awning to filter the morning light without resigning the views of the night sky. (Only have side curtains)
5.- Of the two days we stayed, one had to bathe with cold water since for some reason it did not come out hot despite waiting long for the 5 minutes advised by the concierge.
6. Separate chapter deserves The Marino beach club that works in front of bubbles and that is included in the rate certainly works horrible, is expensive , portions for children and without any flavor. (Pink salmon and breaded chicken). Inexperienced staff and manager do not appear to explain.
7.- Facts: After consuming in the beach club we went out for an excursion and incredibly removed our belongings from the bunk beds to give to other occasional consumers. That is, those of us who stayed in the bubbles were not respected from our places. After raising our complaints to the beach stop, we were told that ... “the manager told us”, we asked to speak to the person responsible but he had already fled, regrettable.
Although they explained that the owners are different from one site to the other, this beach club service is offered on Astral’s regrettable website.
The place is also a valuable point next to the experience that sleep in the bubble brings.
