Cheap flights from Andorra

A countryside destination like Andorra will make you think you are out of bounds with the springing capital traffic jams and the daily city strife. As a mini country sandwiched between France and Spain, Andorra would probably be your breath of fresh air. You may be right, but to an extent. Despite this being a mini country located in the eastern Pyrenees Mountains, you will be surprised that Andorra strikingly houses thousands of shops most especially retail and electronics, with its capital and only town, Andorra la Vella experiencing traffic gridlocks. Don’t be fooled just yet. While you can shop to your heart’s content and ski all the way down the slope, you can also take the roads less travelled and find the most dramatic sceneries in all of the Pyrenees.

The capital is relatively small and is easy to explore by foot. Andorra la Vella is split into two parts, with the newer section at the north end brimming with commercial shops, and the other half down across the river is the older half of the city with a number of shops to visit and historic parts to see. Some of the sights and attractions to see in the older part of Andorra la Vella is the Church of Sant Esteve, the parish church which dates back to 11th century. Its Romanesque structure is infused with relatively modern features, and its glowing stained-glass windows make the visit to the church all the more holy.

Located 8km north of Andorra la Vella is Ordino, a charming village that serves as a popular destination for summer activities. Just like Arsinal, Ordino is a good place for skiing, even if you are a first-timer skier that has friendly facilities, or an advanced skier, who can opt to try take on the challenge to ski over 10km of cross-country trails.
