This hotel, is now part of Isla Paraiso

This hotel is now part of Isla Paraiso Hotel and that is why it has had no reviews for some time now. I stayed as Sa Mirada and ate at Isla Paraiso for breakfast and dinner on half board basis for two weeks. Immaculate hotel.

Fantastic family holiday

We have just returned home from a week at the Arepar apartments in Menorca. What a fantastic family/ couple place to be. We only booked 2 weeks ago and I am so glad we did. We usually stay with my parents on the East side of Menorca but decided to stay in our own apartment this time round. My husband and I took our 3 children (11,4 and 3) and each have come home saying they are desperate to go back. The apartment itself was immaculate. We were overlooking our pool and could see the local beach which both were beautiful. There was air con in the room was fabulous as the temperature reached 35 most days. We stayed on a half board basis which was great and the food was very tasty, varied and plentiful. The staff were very helpful too which always makes a difference. There was kids entertainment at night which could have been a little better but finished at half 9 every night which meant we could pop down to the bar which was a stone throw away and the children could go on go karts, trampolines and play machines while we relaxed and had a few drinks. There was a supermarket attached to the apartments which sold everything and more. We will definitely be back.

Very very good

Just got back from a weekend here with a friend. Loved this resort and the apartment was great. Everything you need for a stay. Clean and quiet with pools that are in the sun all day. Plenty of places to chill and enjoy the beautiful views. Hit really lucky with fantastic weather. It's not a place you'd go to party but a place to relax and enjoy a small town feel. Friendly staff and a place of book again.

Nice place to be - but a couple of reservations.

Just had a week in the Arepar and overall I must say it was good. Both I and my wife enjoyed our time there.
It was a last minute booking and so it came comparably cheap. Having said that, the apartment we had was on the ground floor and tucked out of the way a bit so no stunning sea views unfortunately.
Also, and this is obviously no reflection on the apartments, the weather was not wonderful - often cloudy, often windy and sometimes rainy. The best days were our first and last when it was sunny and hot. But, if not hot most of the time, it was warm, certainly compared with home as we found out when we got off the plane on returning to Birmingham!
The apartment itself was clean, comfortable but rather basic. The room was serviced only twice during the week; the Friday was a Bank Holiday (Christopher Columbus Day) which may have upset the routine, but by the time they were changed, the towels provided were pretty grubby.
The locality, unusually for this kind of resort, is not over blessed with restaurants, although the nearby Mirador is pretty good, and on four of the seven nights we were there we ate in their buffet style restaurant. We also had breakfasts there too as it was convenient. The food was certainly plentiful but it all had a bit of a "school dinners" feel about it. If you have a big appetite then you will find this very good value but I think I would have preferred a greater choice of local restaurants - less quantity but better quality.
Reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent, being helpful and courteous whenever we came into contact with them.
One difficulty we did experience was the lack of transport. We prefer to use local buses when we are away, but they weren't very frequent and, I thought, quite expensive. Arepar were offering a cheaper deal on three day car hire and I wish, in retrospect, that I would have taken this up. It's easy to be wise after the event, isn't it?
We did have an enjoyable, relaxing time, though I think that a week was about enough.
