Hostal Ferrer is a 4-floor hostal in the centre of San Antonio, on a pedestrian street. It has 21 double rooms with wooden furniture and attractive upholstery. Each room has a shower and four of them have baths. Some rooms offer a private balcony.

Very impressed
We expected worse and accepted that, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised. We were already aware that there was no air con but the room had a ceiling fan fitted which was great to have on all night, plus blackout window shutters so could have the window itself open and shut the shutters letting the cooler night air in. The cleanliness was faultless, we put the sign for housekeeping on the door every day of our stay and everyday got back to a lovely clean room. We stayed in the sister hotel across the road before which is still our fave but then it’s double the price. We love the location, the staff and the comfort. There is no lift in the Ferrer building. The pool is on top of Casa Maria opposite and is great with music and a bar. If you’re in a budget I would recommend this hostel every time. Can’t believe it’s classed as 1 star!!

Pension to escape!
Pension to escape! Not only were my friend and I robbed during our stay, but also the staff showed no help or moral support. They acted unselfishly and did not seem at all concerned by our situation, until we told them that the police were arriving on the spot, strangely it was only then that they deigned to ask us questions and watch the surveillance videos, not a word or a look from the manager, who was on the other hand very pleasant with the police...
Back at the Inn at 4 a.m., we realized that our room had been broken into. Our jewelry, bags and personal belongings had been stolen and spread out in the room. We alerted security who asked us to wait until 9 a.m. to view the surveillance cameras. Finally, we were informed that a manager had to be present to view the images and finally we were informed an hour later that a "computer scientist" was also to go on site in the following days and that we had to clear the room quickly and tidy up our belongings, which were evidence of the burglary. Finally, we contacted the police who took care of the situation. Despite the responsibility of the hotelier in this kind of situation, we will certainly never be compensated for our losses. I want to make it clear that the rooms only open thanks to Badges that only we and the hotel staff hold.
I am flabbergasted by their lack of professionalism and insensitivity to such a traumatic event knowing that we are two young women in our twenties who felt totally insecure and left to their own devices to deal with this situation for which the Pension is legally 100% responsible.
Must be avoided if you want a minimum of security and professionalism in case of an incident.

Pension to escape
Pension room robbed! No reaction from the Pension or management. Total indifference to our shocking and unacceptable situation. The arrival of the Spanish police at the Inn didn't change anything. Pension to escape absolutely!!!!

Not bad
The hotel for a couple of nights is not so bad. The facilities are a bit in poor condition. They don't have an elevator. It was difficult for us to get to the hostel, honestly. The reception is in front of the hostel and so is access to the pool. The rooms do not have air conditioning, only a fan. The bathrooms are super small. The receptionist warned us not to get makeup on the towels because otherwise they would charge us an extra fee. We appreciated the information.
There is no free parking near the hostel. The receptionist recommended that we park near the bus station, which is a 5-minute walk away, but the space is small so it is difficult to find a spot. Then there is paid parking since it depends on what each person prefers. In my opinion, the hostel is in a fairly central area of the port, which we liked a lot.

Basic but great value.
Stayed here 3 times now. Basic but does the job well.
Pool in building across road good.
Toilet flush was broken but couldn’t be bothered to move etc so dealt with it, was just a bit fiddly once you knew how to do it.
Clean and well kept. No complaints.
Very very good location for San An and the bus station.
