Really modern hotel with a brilliant location
I have just returned from a family holiday for 10 nights at the Protur Atalaya. The hotel and apartments are great - very central location so close to everything. The hotel is very clean, modern, and staff are very friendly. The apartment itself is a really great size, the living area is huge so you don’t feel like you’re living on top of each other and the balcony is a really good size. The beds in the main bedroom are a bit squeaky however thankfully didn’t keep either of us awake. There could be more hangers in the wardrobe, 4 in the main bedroom and 4 in the living room isn’t really enough for a family however there are plenty of drawers and storage space in general. The kitchen albeit on the small size has everything you need for a self catering apartment, although a kitchen towel would be handy.
Only downside is the cleaning issue (which I know is mentioned on booking) and having to pay to either exchange your towels and bedding or to pay for a cleaner. Thankfully for our towels we were planning on using the onsite laundry room so we put our towels in with the rest of the clothes. Also having to take your own bin bags down to the communal bins across the street can cramp your style on an evening a bit ha! They do leave you a mop and bucket as well as a brush and pan to sweep and clean up. I would think it would be handy if there was maybe a free exchange service for linen/towels or at least one complementary clean during your stay.
The pool is great, not huge but big enough for the amount of guests that can stay in the hotel. We never had an issue getting a sun bed once and there were always plenty spare.
I would mention that if you’re a bit squeamish with mosquitoes, there is quite a problem with them in the hotel, loads in the communal areas/lifts.
I’d definitely recommend a sea view room, we stayed in 1605 and had a great view without being too high.
We had a really great stay and we would definitely stay again.

Really good value accommodation, large space for 2 adults and 2 children, good sized bedroom, bathroom and lounge area. Lovely wide balcony with sea and pool views. Very clean, new and fresh rooms, kitchen and bathroom. Comfy beds too. Welcome and helpful staff. We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on this, but overall very satisfied with our stay and would recommend.

Perfect self catering apartment
Perfect self catering apartment! Clean, modern, no frills, PERFECT location for everything!
ALDI in view one street behind, beach in view a stones throw away from the front entrance, one hotel width behind the main strip... I'm not exaggerating when I say you could walk to any of these in far less than 1minute.
Genuinely surprised at how spacious it is.... although 1 bedroom the apartment could probably comfortably fit 4 adults (we came as 1 adult and 2 children ages 17 and 12) .
... the "sofa bed" isn't the pull put type... it's literally 2 seprate sofas/mattresses of full single length and width! Aircon with seprate thermostats for the lounge and the bedroom to keep all sleepers happy and comfortable. Literally wouldn't change anything... and I'm usually one for constructive criticism!
Pool is good sized although not massive, they allow pool toys etc has lifeguard on till 6pm, 2 sunloungers under every parasol, has the sun all day from 8am to 6pm ish while we were here. No bar or entertainment facilities but weren't expecting this as an apartment not a hotel... but there's a small shop directly opposite, or aldi is almost just as close anyway for daytime drinks and snacks. Also lots of restaurants and cafes directly outside the door too... iv walked further for a meal actually within a hotel in all honesty.

Good central apartments
Lovely apartments. Very central to town and shops. Pool good, clean and well maintained. Negative comments would be change of towels and bedding and room cleaning which does not happen unless you pay extra. Having paid a considerable nightly charge we felt this was unsatisfactory. Lack of coat hangers could be addressed. Addition of wine glasses should be considered. Despite these small niggles we would stay again in these apartments.
