Had a good stay at capitol hotel, the ac at the room was valuable when it was day temperature of 37 degree celsius. Breakfast was ok, at bit small breakfast area. Location was ok not so far to pick up for one day tourist bus trips to Bran and Bulgaria.

A good hotel in a good and central location.

We arrived at the hotel for a vacation. At the entrance, we were greeted by the receptionist who treated us courteously and quickly. The room we were given was average, clean and tidy. There was a problem with the hot and cold water streams in the shower, which alternated while bathing, and we had to be prepared not to get burned or have freezing water. (Floor 4) After our request to change rooms, we were given another room on the 2nd floor, and the situation was better. The hotel is very central and all the attractive places can be reached on foot. The dining room is fine with a good selection of dishes so that everyone can find something that suits them. The staff is very kind and quickly and efficiently handles all requests. On weekends, the adjacent street turns into a medina where cafes put out chairs and tables in the middle of the street. And you can sit and stroll leisurely. The noise from the street is a bit disturbing in the room.

CAPITOL HOTEL BUCHAREST, A SYNONYM FOR EXCELLENCE

We have had a wonderful stay at this hotel. With good-sized rooms, clean and with amenities (electric coffee maker, electric kettle, and minibar); and a good bathroom. It is located on one of the main avenues of Bucharest, in front of the Flag Square and the building of the National Military Circle, in the historic center. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. Despite the great activity, one can rest very well as if they were in the middle of nowhere. The breakfast buffet is very complete and varied, with very friendly and helpful staff who are constantly replenishing what has run out. We had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner with a very delicious menu. I would return without a doubt.

Good location; good sleep

The hotel is in a great location, with lots of things close by.
Despite the chaos and noise of Bucharests roads, the room was quiet and we had a good sleep.
The shower was decent.
A well priced bar.
Staff on reception perhaps need a little training in customer service; it wasn't the friendliest of welcomes.

What an amazing location! The building had historic charm which also resulted in spacious rooms. it’s so very close to Old Town and all that it has to offer. We stayed here 3 nights before having to transfer to another hotel for a Gate 1 tour. That hotel was not nearly as convenient to attractions.
The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bucharest!
