Amazing, chill, historic budget hostel with everything you need.

AMAZING location in a beautiful historic hotel, very attentive staff around the clock, clean, secure, budget friendly, and chill- this hostel has everything to have the best experience in the best part of Lima. Lots of free activities throughout the day- trying Peruvian fruit, free city walking tours, magic water show, and links to easy to use maps for the best attractions. Bekka was very good to us and we very much enjoyed our tour with her. Breakfast was simple and it was nice to have on the terrace. Hostel kitchen well stocked with goods to cook. Room was basic but sufficient and surprisingly felt far from traffic noise. We really enjoyed our stay here- it set a great tone for the start of our trip in Peru. I found this area much more interesting and authentic than miraflores and I would most certainly return to this hostel. Ps- this hotel was co designed by the engineered who created the Eiffel Tower- the tiled floors are my favourite part.

Does the job

We stayed here on our last nights in Peru before flying back. It was fine, the room was comfortable. They didn’t take card but have an ATM downstairs to get cash out. The building is beautiful, however the roof top area felt unfinished and a bit dirty.
There is a bar/restaurant downstairs which we had dinner in, they were only serving pizza that night but it was nice.
The breakfast was really good.
We did a walking tour with the guy from the hostel, it was good fun and nice to see the old town with someone who knew the place. We had delicious churros and learnt about the old town. It would have been nice if the tour started early in the day - 4pm felt we were waiting around for it to start!
Overall an alright stay, would recommend spending some time in Miraflores though but expect to pay more than this area.

Perfect hostel

Great hostel, friendly staff big breakfast in the morning that was just downstairs. View from the roof is great. Rooms were big and showers hot. Lots of space to cook food although we just ate out. They have guided tours too round Lima ( didn’t do but looked good).

Very good location
