Excellent property; wonderful suite
There are 13 steps to get to the large bathroom. In addition to the usual fittings, there is a tub, but the taps are outside so cumbersome to fill.
There is no lift and rooms 105 and 107 which are suites are on the top level.
Wi fi is stable and excellent.

SIIRO RESORT- Lost Glory
The old age adage "Strive Ahead Or You Will be Forgotten among Masses" epitomise the store of SIIRO Resort, located in Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh.
A 16 year old property that is now dilapidated with crumbling infrastructure and all owed to lack of interest of its owner Punyo Gambo, as his diverse business interest now lie in building a concrete hotel just behind existing, Wooden Hotel.
Resort is a misnomer for this place as its primarily a Wooden Cottage ,split into 06 rooms across 3 Ground and 2 floors.A small garden has some really lovely Rose Collection indeed.
Pros:
- Friendly staff led by Madhab (Manager) and other as Michael Das, Jayanta and others
- Even before arriving to Ziro valley/AP, one can call and Madhab gives good advise.
- Wooden feel of the Large Cottage
- Captivating Rose bushes in front garden
- Parking for 4-5 SUVs and even Tempo Travellers/Mini Buses
- Food is nice and made to taste.
- Small Table Fans for rooms Upon demand and one Pedestal Fan for Suite room.
- Close proximity (1.3 km) to Tarin Fish Farm, India's unique integrated Fish FArm also having Lily Flower Floriculture
Cons:
- Cockroach, bug infested Rooms with No Fans and AC
- Insects and Moths flutter around at night around bed and floor mattresses.
- Bathroom Taps don't work properly and so is issue with water drain flow on bathroom floor-very, very slow.
- Rooms are not Comfortable, especially the main suite and executive room on Floor 2 as both have slanted roofs and side balco
- No ventilation,cooling
- Rear balcony opens up to construction activity and females have to be careful of privacy.
- They add Breakfast amount to Room Tariff and Inconsiderate in returning/adjustment of Amount if Family needs to check-out early without breakfast.
- If you seek a pack to go, pls unform a day in adbmvance,else Manager and Team are compelled to fix on bare minimum [ But they do pack and give upon insistence].
- No Intercom nor proper power backup
- Zero Ventilation in Rooms
- Room Linen is not dry cleaned or washed for months [as per own experience]
- Garden Areas and one small Gazebo in outdoor is forever occupied by Staff and guests are confined to Lobby or Rooms.
There is a pond in the property which is supposed to have fishes, but its muddy and staff doesn't got any setup to allow guests to enjoy the pond edge seating.
As learnt, cannot blame Manager and Team ejo have tried getting owner Punyo Gabon to take more interest and get some improvement in infrastructure. Same is not happening as a concrete 4 floor setup is being constructed.

a worthless experience
My only suggestion to all the fellow Travellers is to visit this place at their own risk if you don't care for your money.

Hapless and hopeless.
Inside, we were given a choice of two rooms on the top floor. However, after we'd started to unpack the manager came and told us it was all a mistake and we had to move to a smaller room on a lower floor.
The two bar electric fire supplied was not able to heat the room properly at the best of times but we were subject to frequent power cuts. At one stage one of the staff went round banging on all the doors to get the paying customers to switch off their heating as the system was overloaded. The plumbing was just crazy with water only coming to the sink when the shower knob was in a certain place at which point water squirted from various other places.
We were delighted to see that the dining room had a very extensive menu and started to order only to find that almost nothing offered was, in fact, available. Even with a market just down the road there was no fish, fruit etc to be had. Having eaten dinner we had to use a different table for breakfast the next day as ours had not been cleaned. The manager seemed quite amused that I spent so much of my time complaining but this stay was a disaster. On the plus side he did send out for some beer so at least we could drown our sorrows.
The constant sound of hawking and spitting coming from the kitchen was a little worrying.
