Away from all the turbulence...
First you need to locate Tiputa on the other side of the eponymous pass and its dolphins... (from the airport taxi 600 Cfp + taxi boat 400 + 100 per baggage - per person included & supplement for the boat crossing if after 4 p.m. - then private vehicle from the pension for the last 2 km); the bungalow is in a large property guarded by 3 placid dogs, but attentive to the slightest noise (we are at the end of the world and it doesn't really seem like an insecure neighborhood ;-). In a triple room: 1 double bed 1 single, 1 shelf, 1 table, 1 fridge with 1 terrace with garden furniture; the kitchen is shared by 2 bungalows… so we will have all the necessary equipment to 'cook our meals'. Bicycles are essential and available... 2 restaurants are present in the village open at times to be verified (50m from the pension, it will be by appointment, at the wharf on Friday and Saturday and 1 pizzeria adjoining the previous one will be open all days (?) except Monday (to be checked on site).. 2 grocery stores (Nova the yellow and red, then Ragi the green or Véro works) with the union minimum to make pasta and corned beef Beer! (Hinano of course is available as long as the Dory has passed regularly. In addition to all this, Taia is omnipresent without being intrusive to offer activities (famous in Rangiroa, the 3 emblematic sites: the blue lagoon, the pink sands and the Tiputa pass in addition to the reef and the aquarium are on the program of all agencies for a minimum price of 12,000 Cfp per pax... a good business it seems... it's expensive, but for many it's the trip of a lifetime ;-)) ... the manager of the pension will also occasionally share a piece of fish from the lagoon with his guests! In short, a good place to relax in peace and quiet and far from the sordid hustle and bustle of the world!

Close to a private beach, with Kayak and boat pier for your excursions.
Booked great excursions. Highly recommend it.
This is our 2nd time staying here and we loved it just as much this time as the last time.
We stayed in the main home this time with 2 children and the house was comfortable, the mattresses were nice.
The soap and amenities were local and high quality.
Taia and Véro made great efforts to make our trip and stay comfortable. Including helping us transfer simply from the airport, helping book excursions, and meal ideas.
Loved it and will definitely be going back.
If you do go I would recommend planning to prepare most of your meals as there aren't many restaurants or food trucks on the island. I also recommend bringing fins and snorkeling equipment. They have beautiful reef footsteps from the house. You definitely want to take advantage of that.

I loved staying at Chez Taia Et Véro. I felt at home, very comfortable and safe. I had an adorable cottage, everything working perfectly, hot water and spacious. A big yard in the front and spacious kitchen nearby. The beach is 2 minutes walking distance and you can use the kayak for free. There are many bycicles available and the island is just beautiful. I loved staying in Tiputa. Polynesians are wonderful people, very friendly and generous. I truly loved it and will be going back every year. I recommend staying at Taia Et Véro. The food was excellent too.

Isolation... at its best!
If you are looking for accommodation away from other tourists... Pension Chez Taia et Vero is exactly what you need! The house is clean and comfortable. The bicycles are brand new and functional, the small beach is close to the house and a wonderful spot to watch the sunset. The wifi will do the job in case you need to connect with the outside world. Taia brings fresh baguette for breakfast every morning.
Your hosts are lovely, caring and truly charming people. They will engage however much or little you want to. They will make you feel welcome but not overcrowded.
This place is a gem.
I arrived needing some isolation, and left 3 days later feeling rejuvenated!
