the best were the two receptionist-ladies

The reason for me to select this hotel was its closeness to the bus station, where I arrived and from where I wanted to leave early next morning for the Plitvice lakes. To visit Zagreb I moved after two days to a hotel in the city centre. The small hotel is located in a modern building by a big and busy avenue, which I could see from my window. Luckily the sound insulation was quite good.
The room looked nice, but it was far from perfect. Besides sleeping I use a hotel room for writing at a desk and for reading in bed. This was a problem here. The armchair by the desk was so low, that it was almost impossible to write (and I am 6ft tall) and the light by the bed so weak, that I gave up reading. In the wardrobe were only three cheap plastic clothes hangers. WiFi was disconnecting regularly (the worst connection on my latest 10 hotels trip).
The hotel has no bar or breakfast room. For that one has to go somewhere else (and not nearby). Reception is not open 24 hours. All in all more a guesthouse than a real hotel. And for what is offered the place is far too expensive.
For me the best about this accommodation were the two very friendly and professional ladies, Kata and Anja, who took turns at the reception. They also suggested to me a restaurant behind the bus station with excellent Croatian food.

worth every cent

For the price you pay for this hotel you get more than that. It's just a shame it doesn't have its own restaurant. Whenever I travel to Zagreb, I first check if this hotel is available.

Loved the bathtub although it can be awkward using it in an open area with your family just around the corner. Some of the hooks in the room are attached to the wall using adhesive so they might not be strong enough to hold heavy winter coats. Would also have appreciated a couple more chairs for sitting since the sofa had been converted to a bed. Additionally, would be nice if there was also body lotion and conditioner since there was only a shampoo/shower gel combo provided. Great that there were bedroom slippers and a mini fridge though. The place is also close to a tram stop for heading to the old town and a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Overall, had a comfortable and pleasant stay and wouldn’t mind staying here again.

New , modern , clean - unfortunately noisy

Located near the bus station , on a very busy road (including the tram ) is this in itself very nicely designed hotel !
The rooms wonderfully decorated, generous layout , nice bathroom , bath tub in the living room (quite cool ) and with parking outside the door .
Unfortunately it is quite noisy, which means you notice the noise from the street at night already clearly... even the tram has a stop right outside the front door (in itself good to get to the old town quickly)
Price is definitely fine, one should know that neither breakfast nor other meals are offered here.
