Exceptional room and location

Excellent location, very close to the port and the ancient city, spacious and spotless room, large bathroom, espresso machine, air conditioning, wifi, very kind staff. Below you have a supermarket and many breakfast bars. No parking available. I absolutely recommend it

Bounced me to inferior accommodation on day of check-in and tried to pass it off as an "upgrade"

I had a one day stay booked at Laura Lux apartments in Split prior to traveling to Vis on the following day.
On the day of travel (actually whilst I was in Luton Airport), I was messaged to say that the apartment was unavailable and that I had been moved to other accommodation, and that the replacement occupation was as good or better than what I had booked.
It was not. It was OK, but significantly inferior to what I had booked. I received a discount, which in my view was inadequate.
Given the shoddy (and late) treatment received, I would not recommend anybody booking this accommodation. It may be very nice indeed but that's only really useful if you get to stay there, and being told the apartment is unavailable on the day of travel is just woefully bad.

Disappointing.

Customer care hit and miss, and poor clarity of facilities on Booking.com site.
Our reservation clearly stated deluxe room with sea view & kitchen. Toiletries included.
There was no kitchen. No toiletries provided. Sea view only on peering out of a high sloping dormer window.
When checked in, we were promised daily towel change & bin emptying; this did not happen a single time during a 4 night stay. We had to help ourselves to some fresh towels from a messy linen cupboard.
We were offered an upgrade into the larger ‘apartment’ on the 3rd night. After wasting an afternoon hanging around to move stuff across, we realised that the apartment had not been cleaned properly at all. Dust, grit & hairs all over the floors. Unpleasant smell.
We hastily moved back into the smaller room. No apology offered.
It is a pity as it marred our experience of a lovely city. Great location of apartments to explore the old town.

Great apartment in great location

We were only staying in Split one night so this apartment was probably bigger than we needed. Well equipped kitchen and lounge. A stylish apartment with a small outside space. It was a great location being near the harbour and old town. We arrived early an the girl in the bar/cafe below let us in. We later had an excellent lunch there. Great value - meatloaf and mashed potatoes for about £4. The entrance is a bit odd, through a car park, up in the lift and then one flight of stairs. It would make great value for a family.

Perfect location

Perfect location to explore split- everything is in walking distance. Goran was super welcoming and responsive to questions- made us feel at home! Note: if you plan on driving there, there are limited parking spots in the building so might be worth calling to reserve. And it’s a small old street so caution with larger cars!
