Excellent located B and B for visiting Split
Stayed for 3 nights in Michelle Pfeiffer room which was on first floor with en-suite and small fridge with a kettle. The room was compact but furnished to a high standard, the air con was great but sound insulation not so great between adjoining rooms.
The residence is 15-20 minutes walk to port and old town and only 5 minutes to beaches and some local restaurants. The underground car park was much appreciated as parking on the street is limited due to number of cars. We found it a great base for visiting the old town and port for a day trip to Hvar.
Breakfast was on top floor terrace area which was only open for breakfast and locked the rest of the day. There was a good selection for breakfast although fresh bread from one of the local bakeries would be a great addition.
We had an issue with the sink in en-suite which had a crack in it. At the time we didn't realise it leaked into drawer below where it filled my plastic wash bag with water. Unfortunately I had to throw some of my toiletries out due to water damage. Eva the host was very apologetic and had a handyman come to repair it unsuccessfully to had a leaking sink during our stay.

Holiday stay
A very well located Hotel, with everything you need to provide an excellent stay. Its rooms are very comfortable and clean. The buffet-style breakfast, served by its own owner who was delightful to us. Located very close to the center of Split, which allows you to go on foot without spending a taxi or public transportation, with a very close beach with bars and restaurants. I really recommend it 100%. Thank you very much for all the attention received. I hope to be able to return one day.

Nice stay in Alba!
Everything was clean comfortable and tidy for our stay here in Backvice part of Split.
The best parts are host Eva whom is willing to help anyone and the fab view from the top floor where we took breakfast.
Our room was spacious, comfy beds and a great shower system in bathroom. Air con was the best!
We struggled with TV and safe system.
Location 5 mins downhill walk from beach.
15-20 mins walk from ferry point.
Every room is actor themed named, you get pass words and pin numbers prior to check in and self check in on the day.
You have to be prepared to deal with any enquiries with a reservation team that will delegate to in host prior to arrival, this is one reason I can't give it 5*. As 5* would act on your behalf.
Not 100% attendance host.
Breakfast is lovely. A simple small choice of meats, cheese, breads in continental style with cereals fruit as supplements. All with a warm welcome greeting!
You're in a residential area so can expect it to be quiet, but for you drivers you get a downstairs garage which you'll need....we saw there precious little parking.
2 restaurants 5 mins away.
A few others very close.
Difficult for disabled to get to top floor, but the lift and rooms would be friendlier to hard of walking.

Well equipped in a central location.
The terrace for breakfast was simply great and the apartment was equipped with everything you need.
It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the center. But the location is nicer and it is not so noisy in the area. There are also good restaurants nearby and the beach is a 5-minute walk away. The parking directly under the house is also very good.

During our vacation in Splin we had a wonderful stay in Alba residence. Really nice, kind and smiled Eva welcomed us each morning at breakfast and was there if needed!!!
The Alba residence is situated in a boutique and quiet district near the popular centre of Split - an amazing place for relaxing holiday of couples. We will come back just as we have the opportunity!!!
