A peaceful and delicious step place to unwind

We absolutely loved our time at Casa Origen. We stayed as a family with 2 kids (5/1 yrs). It was so peaceful and so fun to explore. Also, great meals and ice cream! It is so impressive to see the restaurant, farm, event space & schools in one area!

The absolute best.

I don't have enough space to share how much we loved our stay at Casa Origen. The rooms were incredibly clean and cozy. The surrounding gardens were beautiful, and the location was perfect for touring wineries around Pirque. The hospitality from the staff was unmatched, and the restaurant served the best meals we had in Chile. And there's also a store selling wonderful, unique gifts. But maybe the best part is that a stay at Casa Origen supports social, educational, and environmental transformation through Fundacion Origen. Cannot recommend enough.

Perfect

We recently organized an intensive, three-day academic workshop for 26 people at the Villa Virginia in Pirque, which included lodging for four nights and all meals (including a special dinner our final evening). Pirque, a rural community on the outskirts of Santiago (about an hour from the downtown area), was a green and tranquil place to hold our meeting away from the bustle and distractions of the city. The Villa Virginia includes the casona (the stately historic main house with a few guest rooms, living, and dining areas including a lovely enclosed patio with garden views), and two newer buildings with additional guest rooms and a second floor large meeting room, and an additional octagonal building with lots of natural light and wooden floors that can also be used for meetings. Grounds include organic gardens, fruit trees, fields, and a swimming pool. Guestrooms were immaculate and comfortable. The delicious, well-prepared and presented meals featured organic produce from their gardens, free range eggs from their flocks, fresh fruit juice, honey from their hives, and excellent fresh and semi-soft cheese from their goats. Red wine from a Pirque vineyard was served with dinner and lunch. Coffee breaks included tasty freshly baked cookies and cakes. Our final meal was beautifully accompanied by live music traditional to Pirque (a trio who sang and played guitarrones).
Teresa and Isabel coordinated our visit and we could not have asked for more gracious hosts. They made sure that our needs for the meeting, and the individual needs of the meeting participants (which were many and varied!) were met. Communication before and during our stay was rapid and efficient and while highly organized and hardworking (we kept them very busy), they and their staff always maintained a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere that was fundamental to the success of our gathering. During the meeting, we learned that the Villa Virginia is part of a nonprofit foundation and that proceeds from the Villa support the foundation’s agroecology school for at-risk students (more info on their website), the same students who raised the food we enjoyed during our stay. All the participants were very happy with the accommodations, meals, and idyllic setting, and I do not hesitate to recommend the Villa Virginia for meetings and special events, or to anyone simply seeking a welcoming, peaceful and lovely place to unwind and dine well.

Amazing lunch

This is a very special place. The lunch was outstanding, I loved the salmon.
Many of the food items are grown on site at the special school. The cheese is also made on site. Ingredients are really fresh and delicious.
We did not stay in the hotel; however the rooms looked terrific. We would have like to have stayed here, especially as the food and service was so good.
