Perfect!!, welcoming, homely and very comfortable
If you are looking for a friendly, very welcoming hotel, away from the noise and the crowds, then this is the place for you.
We received a great service, from the moment we arrived, greeted at the door by Ivan himself.
Our room was large, bright and clean, with a balcony that had a lovely view of sofia in the distance. Our bed was so very comfortable, we slept extremely well.
Breakfast was a typical Bulgarian breakfast (after all we were in Bulgaria) and was fresh and tasty
Ivan could not have been more helpful, he ensured we had all the information we needed, to have the holiday we desired in Sofia, lovely kind man who went out of his way for us.
The hotel is out of the city, slightly up the mountain, a quiet location but had eateries and small shops nearby, a taxi ride was so very cheap, around 5.00 to get into the city centre (Ivan happily called a taxi, when ever we needed one).
We didnt eat out, we ate in the restaurant in the hotel, as the food was local, delicious and great value, we also enjoyed the company of Ivan and his lovely wife.
Just walking distance away, is a lovely walk up into the mountain, along a stream through the forest (not for people with mobility issues)
we felt so welcome and at home and hope that one day we will return, by the time we left, we felt Ivan and his wife were now our friends

Terrible experience
We have booked there two rooms. When whe have arrived at the hotel, it was almost 2 a.m., we have found an empty reception. Even we had informed about our time of arrival. Nobody answered the phone. Nobody presented the excuses.

Nice hotel.Great value
very nice budget hotel near the Vitosha area where i visit every year on business.The rooms are good and clean and great value for around 20 euros a night.Breakfast and free wi fi included.They advertise free parking but this is on the street around the hotel and not always available.The bar is really nice with lovely open fire place.The food and drink is very cheap compare to what we are used to paying.Staff very friendly and helpfull.

Not impressed
This hotel has a lot of potential but unfortunately our visit was average at best. Our room, on arrival, was dark, dusty and nothing like the description on line (no WiFi, no double bed, no view). Thankfully we were able to move to a much cleaner room (we really appreciated that).
We felt quite ignored the whole time, like we were an inconvenience. When it came to check out (and pay) there was no one around. We had to ask the housekeeper to call the manager for us. The staff were nice but communication was very poor.
I appreciate that it is a relatively low budget place to stay but it was lacking even the basics

Brilliant Start to a Bulgarian Road Trip!
So glad we decided to book in here for the first two nights of our trip.
Lovely family run hotel, nothing was too much trouble for them. Great views from most angles and only a 15 min/ 15 lev cab ride from central Sofia. Best traditional food I've tasted in four Bulgarian holidays. Great value and made to feel so welcome, will definitely book in for my next trip to Sofia.
