Will be back
We were impressed from the moment we parked. A staff member who had just finished their shift saw us and helped carry our pram up the stairs, then walked us all the way to the lobby. The front desk and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was clean, neat, quiet, and peaceful. We asked for a cot and had a sturdy wooden one set up in the room within half an hour of checking in. Breakfast was good, not the absolute best buffet we’ve ever had, but definitely solid.
Overall, a great experience and we’ll very likely be back.

Very disappointing for a five star hotel
Hotel response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I was genuinely disappointed to read your comments, particularly as you are still with us and your stay has clearly not unfolded as either you or we would have wished.
I fully appreciate that it is rarely one issue in isolation that defines an experience. In your case, the pool renovation, your experience with the steam room, the concerns surrounding your room and the rates you observed, together with the noise disturbance from above, have collectively left you questioning the standard of your stay. I am sorry that this has been your experience.
With regard to the pool, the renovation has been communicated for several months across our direct booking channels and through our online travel agency partners so that guests are made aware of the temporary closure prior to arrival. Nevertheless, I appreciate that this information may not always be as prominent during the booking journey as we would wish, particularly when reservations are made through third party platforms. I am sorry that the closure came as a disappointment to you.
Following your comments regarding the steam room, we also inspected the newly renovated facility and confirmed that it is operating correctly. The steam function is controlled by a timed activation system, which needs to be engaged at the commencement of use. On reflection, it is possible that this was not activated during your visit. If so, I appreciate that its operation may not have been sufficiently intuitive or clearly communicated, and we will review this with our team to ensure guests are better assisted.
I also noted your comments regarding the guest room rate and the pricing you subsequently observed online. While we work closely with our online travel agency partners in relation to pricing, third party platforms may from time to time display rates or promotional offers that differ from those originally booked. This can understandably be frustrating when viewed after a reservation has been confirmed. For future stays, I would always encourage booking through our direct channels, which provide the clearest access to our own available rates, guest room categories and inclusions, and allow our team to assist directly with the most suitable options.
While there is context surrounding several of the matters you have raised, that does not diminish the overall impression they have created for you. We have a responsibility not only to provide the facilities and services expected of us, but also to communicate them clearly and ensure that our guests feel genuinely cared for throughout their stay.
As you still have time remaining with us, I would much rather we have the opportunity to improve your experience while you are here than simply respond to your concerns after your departure. I have therefore asked our team to review your stay and make contact with you directly to see what we can reasonably do to make your remaining time at Pan Pacific Perth more comfortable.
Thank you again for bringing your concerns to my attention. I sincerely hope we can leave you with a considerably better impression of Pan Pacific Perth than the one you have experienced thus far.
Sincerely Yours,
Rens Breur

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Perth for our 20th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, the reception staff gave us a lovely complimentary room upgrade, which we deeply appreciated and made for a great start to our trip. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
However, our stay was disrupted by a few notable issues. On Thursday morning, we were woken up by loud, heavy banging from the floor above that lasted for about half an hour, sounding like furniture being moved. We attempted to report this to reception immediately by phone, but the call went unanswered after multiple tries, so we eventually gave up.
Additionally, we experienced a minor maintenance issue with the in-room technology. The TV remote control had no functioning volume control. Every time we turned the television on, it would default to zero sound, which became quite frustrating.
Overall, the property is clean and the check-in service was highly attentive, but the missed phone calls during a noise disruption and the faulty remote control pulled our experience down to an average stay. It is a good property, but management needs to ensure room electronics are fully checked and that front-desk communication remains responsive to guests in their rooms.
