Far better than your average rural motel

What a great find. Visiting Camperdown at short notice , so I made a quick phone call and the man who answered was SO, SO helpful. On arrival, yes it looks like most motels in most country towns but what a surprise and what a pleasure. The fellow at reception was all smiles and all friendliness. The room was the cleanest rural motel I have ever stayed at, great bed, fantastic linen and towels. A very simple motel room but it just had that "this is our motel and we are very proud of it" feel. A very restful night after a tough day, in a very quiet room. I could not speak more highly of this motel. Thank you to the people running the place. You are doing a fantastic job.

A hidden delight

A wee gem for any traveller. On the outside this looks like every other roadside motel - but step inside the door and you find a space that has been lovingly cared for. The functional things are all there, and cleanliness is very high - but its the extra touches that create the restful atmosphere. Beautiful bedspreads and crisp linens, glasses chilling in the fridge for cold drinks on hot days, soft, inoffensive scents from diffusers, and thoughtful placement of furniture to support your comfort. Great shower and bathroom. The team are friendly and helpful - going over and above to ensure you have a great stay. Cockatoos are in abundance in Camperdown - you will not escape their chorus - so bring ear plugs if enthusiastic birds bother you!

Barely 3 stars unfortunately. Bed was comfy and clean sheets and towels. There was a small of mould in the room, discovered that the bathroom door was rotting. It has been painted over to cover it but the mould is growing through. Mould was prevalent in the shower grout as well. Very cold room with damp rid contaners. Opened a cupboard looking for a glass and found a dead fly. I would not stay again

Every now and then you get a pleasant surprise. From just after booking and confirming my late arrival I was impressed by the friendly and prompt service. When you book budget accommodation, then this is what you expect, but this little gem exceeded expectations by a mile. The owners have clearly been renovating. And whilst the look from the outside is dated, the new bathroom, updates and painted bedroom, comfortable beds and overall fresh look impressed. Great value for money and superior service. Thank you!
