An exquisite experience in San Miguel de Tucumán

We arrived at The Point Casa in March 2025 due to a health situation of my husband. We stayed with one of my children for a month but we had to prolong our stay for the same reason. From the beginning we loved the comfort and hygiene of the apartments (we rented two). Very comfortable beds and pillows, top quality and impeccable bed and bath linen. Very complete kitchen equipment that allows to prepare food according to the needs of each guest. Work and leisure spaces on the ground floor (COWORKING) and on the 13th floor (Gym, Solarium and swimming pool) that allowed us to work online with excellent Internet connection (WiFi) Car included that gives us the peace of mind of having our car in the basement of the building and use it at any time and gate with remote control... All the details that contribute to a very comfortable stay. The detail beyond infrastructure of the boutique building is the human factor, in the Martin and Flavia Administration - with unbeatable warm treatment- Miguel, in charge of the building always attentive to our needs and the hygiene staff Helena, Yacky, Luz and Marcela, meticulous in their tasks with a neatness worth noting! I don’t have words to size up everything we receive from The Point Casa... we stay until the end of this year 2025 and whenever we are in Tucumán we choose them again!

This hotel is a joke. Literally. You will laugh at its multiple failures. The whole thing is this sleek modern designer fantasy, where every aspect from the talking elevator ("gracias por su visita!" real Hitchhiker's Guide robot cheeriness) to the stove has been designed as if there were no standards developed in any culture, and the only thing that mattered was glass and metal.
There were a couple of folks at the front desk who seemed sort of in charge when we arrived, even though Expedia thinks there is no front desk, and they sure weren't responsive the first time I walked up to the locked glass door in the major glass facade. Had to call them. (Close the front door carefully. If you just let go of it, it shakes the facade LOUDLY and you're afraid the whole thing will shatter.)
Their main function seemed to be to convince Dave and me that we didn't want one king-sized bed. Well, Argentina is a conservative country. Inferring matrimony is one more minefield for the hotelier to navigate, along with vegan sheets and which direction is Mecca and who can't handle scented gluten soap.
Within five minutes of entering my room, 11-B, I was greatly puzzled. The algorithm governing the faucets in the bathroom is the sort of challenge that Google would give a prospective hire. The hot and cold knobs were maybe remapped to temperature and volume, with some edge effects --- but most remarkably, turning on the faucets in the sink caused (see full review on Tripadvisor)

Intelligence Test

Within five minutes of entering my room, I was greatly puzzled. The algorithm governing the faucets in the bathroom is the sort of challenge that Google would give a prospective hire. The hot and cold knobs seem to have been remapped to temperature and volume, with some edge effects --- but most remarkable, turning on the faucets in the sink causes the faucet in the tub to emit water.
The place as a whole is very classy. I think that it was intended to be condominiums, but it is being rented out by the day while the owners sue the builders and the architect for loony malfeasance.
There were a couple of folks at the front desk who seemed sort of in charge, even though Expedia thinks there is no front desk, and they sure weren't responsive the first time I walked up to the locked glass door. and their main function seemed to be to convince Dave and me that we didn't want a Matrimonial bed. Well, Argentina is a conservative country. Inferring matrimony is one more minefield for the hotelier to navigate, along with vegan sheets and which direction is Mecca and who can't handle scented gluten soap. More information as it develops.

Excellent location
