Meanwhile, the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport is located in the Guanacaste province, near Liberia. This airport is closest to the Pacific Northwest so it operates mainly flights accessible to the region. Lastly, the Tobías Bolaños International Airport is in the Pavas district of San Jose, just around 15 minutes from the city center. The airport operates mostly local domestic flights and international flights from nearby countries such as Nicaragua and Panama.
