1. Pick the best way to get there
From Manila, there are a couple of airports that will lead you to Boracay Island – Kalibo and Caticlan. Even though Caticlan is closer and more convenient to Boracay than its counterpart, it’s not exactly your best option. Not only are the flights bound for Caticlan normally full, but they are a little more expensive than the Kalibo route as well. As a matter of fact, you can save around PHP 1,000 to 4,000, if you fly to Kalibo instead of Caticlan.
Alternatively, you may take the 10-hour ferry ride via 2Go Travel from Batangas to Caticlan. Prices start at PHP 834.29 (excluding taxes and additional fees). As of this writing, there are accommodations available for April 27, 2017.

5. Do some workout
Having a nasty hangover after partying like a rock-star in Boracay? Then, flush out the toxins and alcohol in your system with a fun-filled, sweat-inducing workout. From banana boat rides to paddle board rentals, there are tons of heart-pumping ways and activities that will help relieve a hangover on the island. Furthermore, there are booths for exciting sports activities on this weekend, like ultimate frisbee, paraw sailing, and many more.
Just don’t forget to register early, so won’t be wasting time at the queue. And, after trying out every activity, stay hydrated by drinking tons of cold fluids (don’t drink beer, though). Trust us, you don’t want to be totally wiped out in the middle of day.
Think you’re more of a spectator than an athlete? Just like last year, Laboracay 2017 will also host a NESTEA beach volleyball tournament.

6. Escape the crowd for a while
Need a break from the non-stop frenzy of Laboracay? Even if you’re a bona fide party animal, you will eventually feel the need to escape Boracay’s buzzing nightlife scene. And while the island isn’t known as a serene soul-searching destination, there are a few relaxing spots within Boracay that let you recharge your batteries and get away from the flocks of tourist and revelers, including the Tambisaan Beach, Banyugan Beach, Puka Shell Beach, Diniwid Beach, and Bulabog Beach.
Likewise, you may venture out to the surrounding Boracay islands, like Monkey Island, Magic Island, Tablas Island and Crystal Cove Island.
7. Pack your Laboracay essentials
Although Boracay has all the modern-day comforts and things you need for your trip, buying your stuff there is a not-so bright idea. Let’s face it, prices for everything tend to soar high, whenever there’s a special event that draws thousands of people. To save money for your Bora trip, pack or buy the following things, before leaving home:
- Swimsuit
- Sunscreen
- Cover ups
- Flip flops
- Sunglasses
- Beach bag
- Night bag
- Hat
- Camera
- Bug spray
- Lip balm
Other helpful words of advice
- Be game and ready to try everything.
- Just focus on having a swell time. Keep in mind that you’re in Boracay to refresh, have fun and not to feel stressed.
- Leave no trash behind.
