Reasonable

For 3 people we were looking for a hotel in Cuijk and our eye fell on Hotel Taurus. Heart of town and near Lyn’s eatery, where we would celebrate the birthday. Via a code you could enter the parking lot, where there is room for 4 cars, one of which has a loading possibility. Through the back door you walk into the cafe and halfway there is a mini reception window where you can check in. Our triple room with shower / toilet room was outside next to the outside terrace where a big party was going on. This music party finally stopped at 00:15h so could sleep peacefully. In the disco hall, Formula One was shown on a big screen and that was of course great. The next morning (after spending a super bad night on a creaky bed with a pit mattress) looking for the breakfast room (there isn't one) and arrived at the transformed snack bar where a cart with some breakfast stuff was put down. Breakfast a €13.50 pp consisted of some white/ brown bread/ croissants/ crackers, choice of ham or cheese, boiled egg and jam. The ladies who arranged breakfast were super customer friendly, arranged freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious coffee. That made up for the bad night. Conclusion; get new beds and mattresses, have someone clean the air conditioning and then this hotel just shoots a 6- to an 8. There is much more to be gained from this potential.

Worst hotel ever. You reach the hotel through a fries tent where you have breakfast in the morning while the fries of the day are fried. Bedroom is accessible by a narrow steep staircase. The (small) bedroom has no daylight and no window can open. Through the only interior window you look across the stairwell into another bedroom at five feet away. The rooms are extremely noisy and very basic, there is even no hair dryer. Breakfast is basic too. The value for money is out of proportion. We paid €152 including breakfast for a night in a double room, in my opinion but twice what it's worth.

Taurus is in a great location. It has friendly and really helpful staff. And.....it has a Fire Alarm! The alarm in my room went off at 3.00am and I struggled to get back to sleep after because there was absolutely noone around to say whetyher or not it was a false alarm for certain. The alarm woke at least one other guest but he didnt get out of bed!

Double shrinkflation at Taurus!

I would like to write a review about the Cafe of Taurus. This was not possible on Tripadvisor. That's why I'm linking it to this.
Yesterday, 06-07-2024, we had a nice evening with friends at Taurus. Well organized for the European Championship matches.
Nevertheless, we would like to draw attention to the following;
-The spirit shots
We did not mind having to pay €6.25 for 2 shots in the time that everything becomes more expensive, namely inflation. BUT to get a 1/2 shot is then real extortion, shrinkflation. See also the picture of the shot glass attached. Here you can see that the bottom edge is located in the middle of the shot slide.
Recommendation: Order absolutely NO shots here. Waste of your money!
