Always a pleasure!

Staying at B&B Stella Maris, is like being a guest at a Friend's house! Michele is welcoming, helpful and very nice. He responds quickly to every need and staying with him is always a pleasure. Clean and complete rooms, varied breakfast and also suitable for all food needs. The location is convenient to everything and allows extreme independence. For all these reasons we have already returned once and will return again. Highly recommended!

Good place to relax

The Hosts attentive and nice. Nothing was missing in the room and the breakfast was satisfactory.
Pleasant walks in the village and in the surrounding nature, near Sistiana and its beach and the surrounding Osmize.

Nice cosy place in a good location

We stayed here for 5 days because it is an excelent starting point for visiting many great places such as Slovenian seaside and city Trieste, Soča valley, Kras and Goriska Brda or beautiful italian cities (Palmanova, Aquilea, Grado...) Breakfast is included and it is good even for nonitalian people and it is prepared on the terasse. Strong coffee, tea and cocoa, cheese, ham, prosciutto, yogurt, toast, cereals, honey, jam, bagels and of course many sweets. Bread was only white - that was a little bit disapointing because many people prefer wholegrain. Rooms are little small, but nice, cosy and clean, with small very quiet and usefull fridge, windows have double glazing so there is no noise from the street. Bathroom is ok with enough storage place, shower is a little small and the drain is slow but it is managable even for taller people. Parking is 50m away, free and safe. There is less than 5 minutes walk to the center of Duino, Rikle trail and castle and around 1min drive to the nearest supermarket. Owners are nice and helpful, younger girl named Francesca is also speaking english.

excellent - highly to recomment

We (4 people) had a wonderful stay in B&B Stella Maris. Alba and Michele are great hosts, friendly, charming, helpful and hospitable. They only had little knowledge of English, but communicating was no problem (as well with the help of their daughter). Breakfast was served, coffee and tea was available all the time. The rooms had a bathroom ensuite and the furniture was new. Although located next to SS 14 it was quiet in the room, good windows, the place is well-kept and very clean. The cozy summerterrace offers a great opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine... A small fridge (similar to minibars in hotels) is in the room.
The location is convenient, Trieste 30 min away, Venice 150 km, Slowenian boarder near by; all is easy to reach from Duino. A free parking was offered to us. We had a car but there are bus connections to Trieste.
Duino itself is a charming place and the B&B Stella Maris is the place to stay!

D'obbligo confermare le ottime recensioni, riguardo alle caratteristiche del B&B e alla simpatia e disponibilità del Sig. Michele.
Aggiungo con piacere e metto all'attenzione di altri potenziali ospiti con le mie esigenze che, avvisando al momento della prenotazione, ho potuto godere di splendide colazioni, ricche, varie ed assolutamente prive di glutine, preparate con attenzione e competenza...e quindi, oltre alla simpatia del Sig. Michele, che ringrazio, segnalo anche il suo impegno per appianare qualsiasi disagio.
