Nice stay
I was comfortable here during my stay. The only thing I displeased was that it smelled like tobacco in the room. It is true that the hotel owners cannot prevent guests from smoking inside. I understand it's not up to them.

Excellent Hotel in a good location
Situated on the main road through Tabernas, the Hostal El Puente is a great location for visiting the local Western cowboy towns and film locations. The hotel, room and bar were very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and excellent wi-fi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, some spoke English which was a bonus in a typically Spanish town. The bar downstairs was an added bonus, tostada for breakfast, the tapas and menu del noche were very good and reasonable – we ate here for the 3 nights and both enjoyed a different meal each night. Unfortunately for us the only thing that let it down was the 24hrs of rain, but that isn’t the hotels fault, however as a result we’ll have to go back to Tabernas and we certainly know where we’ll be staying

Great place to stay
Found this on a booking site.Turned into a lovely surprise.I was in the area to see the geological features and visit the Circuito de Almeria.The Family run Hostal is most welcoming and English is spoken.The rooms are large and airy and very clean.
The restaurant /cafe is excellent with the best Tapas in town.
I was there over New Year and was made to feel welcome both in the Hostal and in the town.
I have now stayed on 4 occasions.The only draw back is that parking can be difficult like so many small Spanish towns.

2 night stay
In the area whilst our house in Lucainena is being renovated and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights. We had previously visited the bar and had good tapas so decided to give it a try.We had room 5 with twin beds. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and tidy. The shower over the bath was hot and powerful. The staff were extremely welcoming. We ate each night in the bar and both the tapas and the meal of the day were very good. There are staff who speak very good english which made life easier for us ( our spanish is still very poor )The room was simply furnished but had everything we needed. Air conditioning and WiFi included.
Wednesday is market day in Tabernas and is worth a wonder around - fruit/ veg stalls and clothing.
For 40 euros a night we were very happy with our stay.

Our stay at Hostal el Puente
We were in Tabernas to hike in the area where the spaghetti westerns were filmed. We hiked one day and then went to Hostal el Puente for one night. We had read other reviews that said it was difficult to find. So, we went into town with this in mind. How silly we felt the next morning when we realized it is actually on the main street of Tabernas! The hotel includes a nice small bar where they serve very nice wines by the glass, great tapas, and they also have menu del día and dinner menus. The food was good, not fancy, but all home made. The owner and staff were great! One of them spoke English. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We would go back there in a heart beat!
