I really loved my stay at Hotel Medium Romantic. The property itself is so interesting… there is so much incredible art to look at on the walls you need a whole day just to treat it like a museum! I can’t imagine a better location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nothing so special but perfectly comfortable for a place this close to everything. The walls are very thin though, so ear plugs might be beneficial if needed. It’s an old building and makes up for any quirks with so much romantic charm.

Very bad smells

I have never left a negative review before for any business but I truly feel people need to be aware of this problem at this hotel. I arrived with my daughters and best friend to one of our rooms smelling so awful. They changed our room but the new room still was awful. The scent was in the hallways as well. We stayed one night. I paid for 3 nights. No refund. We had to leave. Our noses were running and our head was throbbing. There is a severe problem with this hotel. I am grateful I was able to find another hotel. I am out hundreds of dollars having paid for 2 hotels but there was no other option,

Bugs and insects coming through a badly insulated window kept swarming the room. Refuse room 27, as the other rooms in our company were better. Prepare for a noisy stay as you could hear sounds from the street and other guests very loudly. Nasty smell in the room, perhaps from insecticides? Good breakfast and air conditioning. Cleaning ladies did their best to clear insects but to no avail.

Quaint hotel in what seemed to be a couple of conjoined townhouses. Great location, minutes from train station and very near to the beach. Large and varied breakfast. Clean and quiet. On the downside, no elevators, with rooms on the 3rd floor up a very high staircase. There was also only one open outlet in the entire room, and that was in the bathroom, nothing at all near either off the beds. It was fine for an overnight stay, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.
