beautifully situated port and apartments with jacuzzi

restaurant located by the lake. large terrace overlooking the bay. very good food and beer that they make themselves. they also have oven-baked pizza. breakfast buffet. live music in the evenings. you can rent cottages or apartments with a private rooftop jacuzzi overlooking the lake

Fantastic cabin, shame about the amenities

The cabin itself was great, clean, comfortable, great view and the wood burner was a plus!
But on arrival it's not very clear where the reception is and the welcome is just about average. Track to cabins is very narrow and it's just a bit of gravel on the ground. The nearby restaurant is expensive, serving less than average quality food and with poor choice in drink as most of it run out. The staff are completely not interested, they will happily argue in front of customers about who took whos chips...
Washing machines and dryers are limited and expensive.

Cute cabins with lake view

We stayed there during the Rally Poland event because it was a close drive to all the spectator spots. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place to others. The cabins are very cute and close to the lake. It has a nearby restaurant with good food options also. The rooms are spacious and include all necessary equipment for cooking. They even have a fireplace with wood for those extra cold nights.
There are a few donsides. The free wifi is horrible! It works very badly and not all the time. And the reception is open only during the day and then you want to arrive late at night or very early in the morning that would not be possible.
Great for a summer holiday!

Super location - pity about the awful access road and dismal WiFi

The location of this quite new development at the lakeside in Gizycko is perfect. Individual chalets are within a stone's throw of the water's edge and there are central facilities associated with the yacht marina for catering, laundry, bathrooms, etc.
We liked everything about the one-bedroom chalet we rented in high summer, and appreciated the good service of the cleaning and maintenance staff, but noted negatives about the whole experience as follows:
1. The access road to the site is 500m of pure driving hell - huge potholes, puddles, ruts. For the prices charged it would be reasonable to expect that Stanica Wodna Stranda management fix this and their own car parking area to a reasonably navigable standard.
2. The on-site wireless internet is abysmal and unusable. Many times it is not possible to connect to at all, and when occasionally a connection is made the speed is less than 100kbps download and unmeasurable for upload. In this day and age if WiFi is offered - which it should be - it should be to a reasonable standard.
3. The receptionist we dealt with on arrival and with several queries subsequently during our stay was hopelessly lacking in knowledge or sense of customer service. She didn't know, couldn't help and / or it wasn't her job. Some serious retraining or recruitment of decent qualified staff required!

Family trip

We spent 4 nights at the place. We had one of the apartments.
The restaurant is good and an easy solution for all 3 meals.
The place offers a great variety of activities including fishing, swimming, boat trips, kayaking etc.
within 10 min ride there is a great rope park for kids and adults.
The camp site has a good playground for kids to enjoy.
Things that require improvement and or awareness:
We are a party of five with 3 kids. The third bed was the sofa and opens up to a small bed that would only suit a small child. The beds weren't comfortable.
The Wifi that is claimed to be offered almost never works.
Washing machines and dryers are available but end up being very expensive.
