Wonderful Hotel

This hotel would have to have one of theist views in the world. Situated right tat the end of a fjord with spectacular views from you balcony. Rooms are reasonably spacious with all amenities. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom floors are heated - nice force thing in the morning. Food is really good with breakfast and dinner offering a huge selection from a buffet. Wine is good but expensive, as it is everywhere in Norway. Staff are great and helpful.
Town is small but walking along waterfront is a joy.
Very romantic and cosy.

MOLD everywhere!! This hotel is dangerous for your health! SHOULD be closed immediately!

This hotel should be closed! It is not in the condition to house even animals! The roof in one part of the hotel is almost falling, broken windows, MOLD everywhere!! You can feel and smell the mold invasion the moment you walk in the hotel!!

Nice value

As already mentioned its not the newest design. And i rather want it to stay as it is to keep the pricepoint. Everything works. And the staff was polite and helpfull. And for this pricepoint its a great value

Beautifully located property.

This is one of the most ideally located hotel in Norway. One can enjoy nature's beauty from room's balcony. Beautiful lake and hills offer pleasant look. Very peaceful and cool place in a small town. Rooms are quite comfortable. The only drawback is its lift which does not have proper protection when moving and cause injuries.

Don't Do It

A great location. Stayed here for a week as part of a tour of the area. Sadly preference was given to overnight groups of Japanese / Chinese package tours- this is where the money is and other guests get second best. The Hotel is showing signs of age and needs a big overhaul (potentially very expensive). The food on offer in the buffet showed a distinct lack of imagination (one night guests wouldn’t have known this - week long residents did). There was a great display of flowers on all of the tables and a variety of plants / shrubs throughout the hotel. They were all fake - as this Hotel. This is a shame - this hotel has the potential to be a very high quality experience but only some serious investment will ever see this happening. The one saving grace was the quality of the staff. The owners really need to up their game in this Hotel.
