ideal before or after the airport

a pleasant stopover.A family house rehabilitated as a guest house in the embassies district, quiet but hypersecure.In renovation during our stay, we enjoyed the rooms street view very quiet and admired the renovated rooms sea view (not great at this place) more,large...but more noisy.Breakfast quality

Delightful place to stay in an excellent location

This guesthouse is delightful in a very convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful, suggesting places to eat and visit, booking taxis for us and accommodating very early breakfast to fit our daytrips. They were also very flexible and moved our reservation to the next day when our flight from Vilanculos was cancelled. The location is excellent to visit the Polana Cimento area of town. Some taxi drivers needed extra instructions to find it, but it was enough to say that it was near the Igreja Polana and it generally worked out. Also, do not expect a long drive from the airport, 20 minutes and you are there.

A little piece of paradise

I highly recommend Figtree Guesthouse for its comfort, good location, relaxing atmosphere, very friendly staff and a great breakfast, as well as coffee and cake always available. It also has secure parking and good wifi. To repeat.

A Safe and Tasteful Haven in a Bustling City

FigTree Guesthouse is like coming home after a day in the noisy, dirty streets of Maputo. The hotel is serene, tastefully decorated with African art, and secured behind a robust gate.
The beds are truly comfortable, and the air conditioning and wifi function flawlessly. You can enjoy coffee and tea around the clock, and there's plenty of drinking water in the room - everything is just right. The breakfast is excellent too.
Perhaps there's room for improvement in streamlining the check-in process? It took almost 20 minutes.

Lovely guesthouse stay in Maputo

We really enjoyed our three nights here. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Great pool in a spacious garden area. Lovely decor throughout the guest house. Rooms at the front have the best views and more natural light.
