A wonderfully welcoming stay with spotless rooms, a fantastic host, and an ideal location.

Killarn House delivered everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, Breda gave us a warm and genuine welcome that immediately set the tone for our stay.
The room was lovely — beautifully decorated, very clean, and thoughtfully stocked with extra toiletries and even hair‑styling items if needed. The charming coffee and tea bar was another touch that made the room feel especially inviting.
Breda herself was a standout host. She offered excellent recommendations for places to visit in town, was a pleasure to chat with, and clearly cares deeply about her guests’ comfort and experience.
Breakfast was delicious, with both cooked‑to‑order dishes and a generous spread available in the dining room. It was the perfect start to our Ring of Kerry day.
The location also worked perfectly for us. It was easy to drive to without battling city‑centre traffic, and once we arrived, we could leave the car parked and enjoy a pleasant 15‑minute walk into the heart of Killarney.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat — highly recommended.

Best B&B in Killarney!

Our stay at the Killaran House was nothing short of spectacular. The host, Breda, is so wonderful and kind, and makes your stay feel so special. We booked the smaller room, yet it did not feel cramped and had ample space for us. It was impeccably clean and comfortable. The free parking was a major perk, and the walk to the center of Killarney was just down the road. We opted for the continental breakfast which included an array of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit and more at a very reasonable price. It was all delicious. We could not have been happier with our stay and it was by far our favorite B&B from our whole trip. Breda had so many wonderful recommendations for us, and is an expert on the area. Our only regret is not being able to extend our stay! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Killarney and I am looking forward to returning one day.

Great Hospitality, Host, and Location!

1. The room was lovely - well decorated, kept very clean, and there were extras of toiletries and hair styling items if needed. The coffee and tea bar was also very charming!
2. Breda was a wonderful host with great recommendations for where to go in town. She was great to talk to and cares greatly for her guests.
3. Breakfast was delicious with “to order” items as well as a spread of items in the dining room. Perfect start to our Ring of Kerry drive day.
4. The location was great for our needs - we were easily able to drive there without dealing with congested city traffic. Then we were able to park the car for the night while we walked a quick 15 mins to get into the heart of Killarney.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Stay with a Truly Caring Host and Perfect Location
We had a lovely stay at Killaran House in Killarney. Breeda, the owner, is incredibly friendly and warm — she makes you feel like a welcomed guest in her home from the moment you arrive.
The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of delicious options, and Breeda goes above and beyond with thoughtful touches — there’s even a guest cart filled with travel essentials like shampoo, hairspray, and other items visitors might have forgotten. Such a brilliant idea!
The location is perfect — an easy walk to great restaurants, shopping, and just minutes from the Ring of Kerry entrance. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained, showing the care and pride Breeda puts into her guesthouse.
If we had one small note, it would be that the beds were a bit firm for our liking — but truly, if that’s the only thing to mention, it says a lot about how wonderful this place is.
A solid 4+ star stay — warm hospitality, spotless rooms, great food, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommend!

A welcoming host whose B&B ticks all the boxes.

Killaran House is perfectly located on the start of The Ring of Kerry and is run by the most welcoming host of any of the many B&Bs we’ve stayed in, going above and beyond our expectations. Clean, great beds and hot showers with a delicious breakfast ticked all the boxes for us.
