Fantastic hotel if you want to completely unwind!
I stayed 9 days at the hotel together with my girlfriend.
We flew to Chania and had a rental car there (quite necessary) as the hotel is ± 50min drive from Chania airport.
Due to some delay we arrived reasonably late but nevertheless the late hour we were kindly received and we got a wide explanation.
Our room was on the first floor. Had a very spacious balcony where you could easily enjoy the beautiful view.
The room consisted of a (rather compact) bathroom with shower and toilet, small kitchen, blissful bed, TV, air conditioning and enough closet space to store all your clothes.
Breakfast was mostly the same every morning, a buffet style with lots of fruit, Greek yogurt, dried fruit, coffee biscuits, cheese, meat, vegetables,... But also some Greek specialties! Such as snacks with spinach and feta cheese, triangles with chicken and pepper, puff pastry snacks with feta cheese, ...
We certainly thought it was extensive enough!
A coffee machine from Douwe Egberts, 2 types of fruit juice, water, milk,...
We rented a car so went out almost every day to beaches, "Lake Kournas" (RECOMMENDED!!), Chania city, Rethimon, ...
This is the only thing I had some trouble with, if you want to go for dinner in the evening then without a rental car the options are quite limited.
But otherwise the location is just perfect, you are located between 2 larger cities, near the beautiful lake Kournas where you can easily spend a day (snorkeling among the turtles, renting a pedal boat, eating something,...) + I have never seen a hotel where you take 5 steps from the breakfast table and can jump into the pool ... When you get out of the pool you take another 5 steps and you are on the private beach... Blessed!
The staff is super friendly and always ready.
We had to check out at 12pm but were allowed to stay as long as necessary as we had to leave for the airport at 4pm.
If you are looking for a hotel in Crete, where you want to unwind from the crowds with friendly staff, spacious rooms and a good breakfast then this is definitely the hotel you should be!
Don't expect big hotel chain conditions like all those all inclusive hotels but expect a small cozy family hotel!
From cleaning lady to receptionists... You can see that everyone is there to make the guests enjoy their stay!
We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic stay – highly recommended!
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel Musela Studio! Already upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and a pleasant welcome. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful – they really did everything to make us feel comfortable throughout our stay.
The room was clean and cosy, the atmosphere at the hotel was calm and relaxing. We also greatly appreciated the personal service and all the little details that made the experience so special.
Thank you very much to the whole team – I’d love to come away and recommend this place to anyone who appreciates quality and genuine hospitality!

Cold Showers & Uninvited Guests
It really got off to a bad start when I arrived late at night and couldn't get in to the room assigned to me. I had to call the night manager to help me get in and when he tried and failed, he then got the master key. We both enter the room only to find two people already sleeping in the bed.... great!
So, I was at least given a different room with a nice view, but everything in this hotel is old and not maintained. The air conditioning is covered in dust and looks like it's never been serviced. The shower walls aren't properly sealed so water just goes all over the bathroom floor. Also, the bathroom fan was extremely loud. And the WORST part was that there was practically no hot water available. It would last for about 30 seconds and then turned cold and after about 3 minutes, would just stop altogether. What is the F*ING point of having a shower!
Then, two days into my stay, I was woken up in the morning by a knock on the door. I assumed it was the housekeeping so I politely responded to go away. The knocking continued and I opened the door only to find the hotel manager himself standing there. He promptly told me that I had to vacate the room as there were other guests coming who had requested an ocean view. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS BEFOREHAND? So, I was then forced to move rooms down the hall within about an hour.
The absolute worst part about this was that there was zero apology from the manager or any of the staff. No one ever explained why my room was occupied in the first place and there was no offer of a discount or some kind of recompense for the inconvenience.
Furthermore, the breakfast on offer was very poor. One hot plate and some meagre toast and fruit... not satisfactory or filling.
Please avoid this hotel. It sucks.

5 days by the sea at Musela!
Relaxing , clean, Great air con which is needed in August!
We spent 4 days and we occupied 3 rooms.. and included a 2 year old!
The team could not do enough and the rooms were equipped with everything you need when on holiday.
Location gives you privacy and escapism .. but only 5 min drive away to near by villages or short drives , taxi or bus…. I recommend a taxi.- to Rethymno or Chania of Giorgioupoli..

Excellent location!
we stayed at this hotel for 11 nights. it was a great experience. the hotel has an indoor pool and is located right next to the sea. the host is exceptional, she helped us with everything we needed, including the beach umbrella and information about renting cars. I had a room with a sea view, it is cleaned daily, the room is spacious and equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen. the view from the balcony was very beautiful. breakfast is varied and the host supplements all the time, even if you wake up later (10:00 am) you have something to eat. we had a rented car and we managed very easily, but I saw that there are bus stations nearby.
