Good hotel for a reasonable price

Nice hotel, close to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the town center with lots of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, pharmacy etc.
The room was very nice, with a small terrace. Good bed. Clean. The only flaw was the continous flooding of the bathroomfloor when taking a shower.
We stayed in the new building of the hotel, across the road from the mainbuilding. For breakfast (or lunch, dinner) you have to go to the restaurant in the mainbuilding. It is a big self-service restaurant and the choice of food is almost overwhelming. For breakfast you'll find thee, coffee, juices, fruit, yoghurt, pie, roll's, bread, jams, cold cutts, cheeses, boiled and scrambled egg's, beans, sausages and much more.
We did not use the swimming pool in the main building, instead we used the swimming pool in the dependency building. It is very nice, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location

Loved our first visit to Thinalos. It was quiet, clean and relaxing. Friendly helpful staff, especially Mariatina at breakfast! She made friends with everyone and gave lots of helpful info and advice. Great pool and fantastic location - just 2 minutes to Acharavi beach and 5 minutes to the Main Street with all the amenities you could need, including the local bus stop, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Would definitely return

Air con not very strong in my room, shower knob for water fell off first day there but they fixed it right away. Super friendly staff, was able to borrow a hairdryer from main desk, events almost nihhtly, good music at main building. Amazing breakfast choices. Comfortable beds and sheets. Very close to the beach.

Perfect location

Newly refurbished hotel. Reception and dining room are across the road in Nobilis hotel .
5 minutes walk to the beach and ten minutes to the Main Street. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Buses from the Main Street to Corfu Town takes about just over one hour. €4 .
Rooms are very clean with the cleaner coming in with clean towels and making up the room daily.I found the bed a little firm but as they are new it is to be expected.
Rooms all have Air Conditioning,TV, fridge,safe and tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe and shelves ( could do with a few more hangers). Hair dryer you collect from reception.
Bathroom was more like a wet room with waterfall shower and hand attachment. Ours drained away nicely but believe our friends didn’t. Hot water from the shower was very hit and miss not sure the pressure is set correctly but plenty of hot water to the basin. Our toilet in room 518 ,when flushed the fresh water came over the seat. We just kept the bath mat around it so wasn’t a big issue.
We stayed bed and breakfast. Extremely good variety of food and plates cleared away quickly. The staff are all very efficient and friendly.
Snack bar open during the day by the pool .Plenty of comfortable sun beds. You can you use the pool and main bar at the sister hotel. Beach towels available at reception with the deposit being returned on departure .
I would have rated this hotel excellent as it is in a great location , good food and great staff but due to the issues with the shower I couldn’t give it that rating. We would return again .They need to sort the water pressure out which I am sure they will do.

Disappointing

The rooms are set away from the main building across a fairly busy road, the rooms look nice recently refurbished however the beds felt damp, the showers rarely work no water or very hot water, the showers also flood the bathrooms as the drainage does not work.
The room keys frequently stopped working which meant a trek back across to the main hotel to get them reset every time as the phones in the rooms do not work. The room safes do not work even after we were given the pass key.
The rooms back onto the road in places and there are no security cameras on the back of the building. The noise travels very badly from room to room to the point you can hear people’s conversations and everything else they are doing.
Good points very clean and staff were friendly mostly.
The area is beautiful and the beach lovely .
