Great hotel as a base to explore Leipzig

Parking free of charge directly in front of the hotel (weekends!), self check-in desks which speeds up the check-in tremendously. Modern, functional, comfortable and clean! Breakfast yummy. Hotel is located close to the city centre, 2 stops by bus with bus stop 3 walking minutes away. Very attentive team

Booked an apartment room (executive studio) and hotel staff at first refused to admit this was the case as they did not understand the room type names. Allocated a standard room and told that was all that was available. Hotel management them the next day acknowledged their mistake but did not apologise or offer a refund for the price difference for the downgraded room, they offered a measly 17 euro free breakfast for the remaining two mornings. Shocked doesn’t cover how I felt and the hospitality was non-existent - in fact they made me feel like it was my problem or indeed my fault for booking with a third party! Hotels.com honestly I can’t fault (apart from various back and forth messages and calls) as they refunded the difference in cost without too much hassle and were very understanding, polite and apologetic. Oh had I had one free breakfast - it was awful and wouldn’t recommend. The room was at least clean and a good standard.

Stylish but very impractical

The Legere Express Hotel in Leipzig is about a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Leipzig. 2 tram stops are in immediate proximity. You can park for free on Ellenburger Street.
... but: The rooms are far too small and impractically furnished. The sink is located in the bedroom.
The breakfast is a disgrace. Neither the selection nor the quality of the food meets general standards. And for that, they charge €17.

Fine to sleep

Excellent, clean hotel with good beds and bathroom. Staff are friendly and help with questions. No further attention. Lobby and bar are okay, but not very cozy to sit. As a sleeping place good, otherwise not special. No experience with breakfast.

Highly recommended

I had an excellent 5-night stay at this hotel in Leipzig. It is situated in a prime location near the city center and the university. My room was spacious, clean, and filled with natural light, making it the perfect retreat after exploring the city. The staff were friendly, efficient, and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of carefully prepared sweet and savory options. The fast and reliable WiFi was an added bonus. A fantastic experience overall!
